Heh heh. Took the BT guy twenty minutes to install and everything is running superbly.

I'm dead chuffed. Been downloading anything that isn't screwed to a server. I can now play the MOHAA demo, too.

Which is nice.

It varies between each lying game obviously, but I generally ping around 35 in HL-based games and around 50 in Q3-based games. Downloads in the region of 55KB/sec.

All in all, I'm happy. Although I've only had it a day I'd recommend it to anyone with £50 per month to burn.

Get cable if you can, obviously.

As far as I'm aware, cable is still the daddy and Blueyonder reigns. ADSL is next where Nildram is king. I'm with Nildram. After that theres ISDN and modems. Nobody gives a shit about them, and rightly so.

Nildram eh? I'm with them and the service has been fine until the last couple of weeks. Normal pings of 35ish have turned into 100+ in the evenings. I called the support line but just got a load of bollocks from some spotty faced tea boy spouting shit about bandwidth contention.

pings have been pretty damn good with BY for me

in wolfenstein multiplayer with 16people on i've had pings of 12 but usually stays at 20-25. on one of the really packed servers it stuck dead at 52!

For half life DM i normally get about 22-25, i can't get used to the fact that most servers i join - i have the lowest ping!!

Ive had it for over a year, average d/l speeds of about 55kb/s

Ping is usually 30

One time it was b0rked, but everything seems to be fixed now, overall a happy customer

Worse problem is the bouts of BTInternet outages.
