6 secs is amount of time it takes to complete a hinge more or less, so 15 mins .

just used FA once at start of a hinge and get 5 secs (so 6 as there is a delay)

you start making a hinge than try to use First Aid and you see how long you have till the craft task is completed.(works for everything I crafted so far and salvage aswell).
