It wasn't a server problem. As has been said if it had been a server problem, everyone would have been affected and not random people from random groups. The servers were up and most people could connect to them. As you'll see if you look at the other threads on this page, there was a problem with routing in Europe last night and many people routing through London were redirected to Zurich, Geneva and Frankfurt. The service you were paying for with your DAoC subs was up and running fine the whole time. The service your ISP is paying for with routing across Europe was screwed.

In general uninformed and abusive RightNow replies are simply sent a form reply and set to solved. Very abusive ones earn you a suspension.

this is not a flame, abuse or anything... meerly a question.. i've played both US, and Europe accounts.. and there seem to be less lagg on US servers.. I noticed you said the servers where up and running fine, but there was a router problem.. could this have something to do with the US servers aswell... why they "seem" to run better.. Because the yanks got better routers than Europe.. mind you im not a computer wizz.. so I have very little knowledge in this matter....

Maybe the setup between your ISP and the US is more reliable than the one to France?

The B road to my girlfriends house from mine is shit, but its short.

Motorway is long, but its a much better ride.

To US: You prolly go via amsterdam and then to New York with routing, even maybe via London instead of amsterdam.

To EU (France): whereever you live -> ... -> Amsterdam -> France
And the lag is because of France backbone hicking up from time to time.

GOA can only fix this if they recenter the servers, and since that will bring high costs.. France Telecom won't be their host anymore, it won't be worth the investment.

I've had some lag but it's nothing worth QQing about - the odd freeze, no more than two a night.
