From what i heard, he was organising the defence, and managed to kill the RR force before they got to the RK. And if ofc he had failed with his group, then the 70hibs would be at Dagda, its a good solid plan, so say TY For arranging it, dont flame him

Yeh lets all storm scathaig while theres 2 forces of 45 and 54 mids in hib Frontier. One lot at scath, other force not known where and lets all got killed and let the mids walk in for the relics when Mids add in back of us. 2FG did a fine job, didn't weaken the defence force and probably destroyed the morale of the Mids, preventing them from a direct RK assault.

I stayed at dagda with my chanter, I started the evening with 17645 rp and ended with something like 18700.

Well done Quinlan for headsup work.

The Hib whine about getting rp's at relic defence is actually worse than hearing Albs whine about grapple.

Such a lame post, posting on forums regarding rp's earned at a rk defence and a general moan re one Hib alliance most of the evening. Sad day to hear Hibs of this calibre.

I'm a cynical as anyone about certain grps always doing the 'patrolling' duing this type of thing, but Quinlan seemed to do a very good job at assuming leadership and ignoring the stuff on /bc. So why attack him personally.

If u dont like all the glory boys running off and getting all the rps, don't do what ur told and whine while ur doing it - disband from /bc and just do ur own thing...know our grp got sick of it eventually and did just that.

Actually, there was only one force of Mids but can imagine HIbs being bit more worried if they thought there was two
Of course, you've only been looking at the guard reports and stuff, so kinda impossible to know for sure about stuff like that. We were moving fast and sometimes group got lost etc. That was probably it.

We weren't on RR as such, just little pay back to Hibs for taking our keeps earlier. Not that it wouldn't had turned into RR if there hadn't been so much Hibs at Dagda.

its not about the goddamn rp's... the reason i complain is that the "leader" should stay back witht the main-grp and organizing there... not run around farming! but noone seems to get that except a few ppl ... well.. dont worry.. i wont show to the next relic defense... i dont mind staying around waiting as long as the "leader" does the same...

well sed imo, i was at dagda incase yr defense failed, i never got 1rp but tbh i'd rather have 0rp and have a relic keep 100% safe than get a few hundred or k of rp at the expense of risking relics... but thats just my opinion

My only point is if peeps feel the being used they shouldn't co-operate simple as that, and yeah goes for door-repairers too. Not really what's needed in a relic defense of the 'realm', but my opinion anyhow.

Whenever theres an RR or RR defence i NEVER expect to get RP's, if i do...its a bonus

If whoever is leading decides to go & patrol the area with his/her grp, then so be... he/she is the leader & its them who make the call, weather any of us like it or not. No-one forces you to go on RR's or defences but lets face it.. RR is a BIG part of DAoC & hib/pryd has 1 of the strongest communities of any DAoC server & *most* of us work well together when theres RR's & defences on with no /whining ..ive been in hib since beta almost & probably joined 90% of RR's even before i was L50 ..during this time theres only been 1 or 2 occasions when ppl /whine & the thing falls apart

If it was RP's your after then theres many other times you can get RP's or you could just goto mid/exc & start your own fixed grp & farm the noob zergs Relic Raids & defences are just that & NOT an oppourtunity to get ya self a few more rp!

I saw stuff spouted in BG re this and the eclipse alliance people that said it didn't engender good feeling. Prior to that though we had incessant whining from a number of people and i think people just got pissed off. I was kind of suprised to hear such vehement whine from NFD members, people I've rvred with considerably over the last 2+ years. I guess there's been some bad feeling running, I've no idea what and who it is. So rather than continue the onslaught in a public forum, it may be best for those people to air their views in pm's so that alliance leaders can take on board things.

No-one really wants to listen to this sort of utter shite in a rk defence BG. RK defence BG is that RK defence, not please sir you got 45 more realm points there! If you wanna whine, make a QQ cg and leave BG. One of the beauties about being on Hib Pryd has been we've always had a good community spirit which has particularly helped in defence of the realm. I couldn't believe the shit Usp got subjected to at the recent Mid take of one of our relics. Totally uncalled for and it even came onto these forums then when Mids quite rightly posted being happy about taking a power relic.

One of the comments was he won't help cos you weren't here 2.5 years ago, wtf is all this shit?

Seems Belorfyn we thought there were more mids than there was, but someone spotted an army going from emain to breifine and with 2 keeps reporting guard spams of diff numbers at similar times, we reacted accordingly.

Only just found this thread, so events have moved on a little. However as one of those "Whining" in the bg I have to say that starting this thread here is out of order.

Yes certain things that happened in the defense were not perfect. Overall Quinlan was a succesful Relic Defense leader, and that is what counts. I do think Quinlan made some really good decisions, and overall his defense leadership was one of the better ones.

So at the end of the day Gratz to Quinlan and well done to all the other hibbies involved.

The only thing between mids getting all hibs relics are Eclipse, and no randoms should think otherwise. So why even bother?
