2) accept the fact that ur playing in an area with a lot of people and add'ing will happen
3) get rightnow'ed for abusive language like some have done

whatever ur gonna say:
- u and all others play as they like
- again u and ALL others have their way of playing
- the one thing that has caused this and has always been... UR attitude (several grps whine even b4 we could press the button to do anything, not all groups are doing this but i think most people will understand the subject)

i can understand after a day of working u wanna relax and play as u like, that aint that easy as u share much with us all
if u want it all the way u want and no1 to worry about, go rent a freeshard or whatever u call it

i'm complaining about the fact that many of them are using abusive language and such, an attitude wich shouldnt be there
and don't worry i'll collect screenies and report this fun behaviour to GOA

Utter wrong. He's not whining about anyone's playstyle, just about people who come here to cry or abuse other players in game for playing like they want. That's a huge difference, which you obviously didn't get. The /ignore command is there, but why should HE work to ignore them all, just because THEY behave wrong?

He is even giving the people options, it may even sound like a threat... Obviously that must mean he want to force someone to not play like they want, i mean they HAVE to accept that there is people adding? Or they HAVE to move to agramon.... But as i said, obviously abusive words are not needed, but i am afraid in the real world and here there is alot of people who either dont think of their word choise or simple is a tad rude.. I can easily admit having yelled horrible things at people "adding" on my fights, though i normaly try to ask them polite first to not do it again...

you're totally missing the point. he's saying, basically, if the fg's can't accept that they will be added on in a mass zerg area (point 2), they should take their fights else where (point 1) and if they carry on with the childish behaviour of abusive, uncalled for language and temper tantrums, they will be reported for doing so (point 3). he's giving a fairly nice warning to people before he does report them, as this kind of behaviour is totally uncalled for.

'adding' is part of them game. and while sometimes i do get pissed that someone will kill the enemy i was fighting when he's on 2%, i live with it. i don't QQ to the person about adding (unless his name is fatload). but in a fg situation, all the leetist pricks think of 'adding' as something that's a sin, something that's forbidden. but it isn't. if anything it adds spice to a fight (depending on how much the enemy is out numbered).

you don't ask politely if the person won't add. you don't say anything at all, as any comment to the person doing it, can be used against you (and in this case will be used against you). GOA consider people QQing about 'adding' in game, to be harrassment. And it is. If you can't deal with the adds, go to somewhere that was designed specifically for fg fights (hello agramon).

Another great example of someone thinking "their way" is the RIGHT WAY. The codes of conduct states no where that you have to add, that you have to zerg, that you have to play fg vs fg rvr or almost anything else... Its really up to each and one of us to play how we like and think is right within the the rough lines GOA have drawn for us. So if i wanna do fg vs fg rvr or 1vs1 rvr and i dont like when someone add on the fight, i am more than entitled to ask them not to do it again because it ruins my fun, and they are more than entitled to simple say no because that is how they play.... I can assure you that GOA in now way will ban or warn someone asking a simple question like that, and if someone like you would be silly enough to waste their time by reporting this, they would simple laugh at you and return an automatic answer, maybe even in french just for the extra laugh.

You could perhaps point out for me where in the rules and code of conduct it states that everyone have to play realm versus realm by killing every red target they see? And you could perhaps also point out for me where in the rules or code of conduct it states that Agramon is for fg vs fg rvr only?

hehe thats funny, because it was CLA whining and throwing the teddy out the pram when we left them to die. Feel free to add. If the enemy grp isnt dead by the time your inc it means theyre half decent = your free rps to them and we get to watch you being steamrolled again

it's ur right to do so and their right to respond to ur action aslong as it's within lines, decent and non-abusive language

i hope u get the point of this entire thread, so what if people add or don't wanna be added upon, as long as the people act decent enough to live with it or ask the others to leave in a proper manner
lately lots have been nagging entire stories about CoC or being simply offensive and started insulting

It is getting amusing in this thread. I see people that dont want to be added and people that want to add using the same arguments.
As we have stated in our earlier RVR statement CLA plays this game as an old school roleplaying guild. Wich means that we take the realm vs realm design of this game as it was meant when DAOC was launched. For us that means kill every enemy target we can see. If that means something different for someone else, so be it. But dont be surprised when we react to people leaving a fight. It is all part of the roleplaying game. For us that is not a random thing. It is our way of spending time in this virtual world.

In this realm versus realm roleplaying game it is (again in our opinion!) treason to leave a group to die. And if it happens we will react to it.

This does not mean that we expect everyone to play this way at all!! Thats why we subscribe the agramon fg fights and duelling in non strategic territories.

Maybe it is time that the gm's of this game from all realms get together and discuss about some basic strategic agreements about duelling areas, fg fight areas and non prime time raids. Maybe we can play together again, and bash eachothers virtual heads without the endless threads about how to play this game.
