I met a scout solo last week and he straffed like a mad man against my druid, guess it would have been effective if I had styles... or if he had tried to use side positionals... anyway the moral of the story is scouts are really bad at melee and you shouldnt need to strafe to beat em and even if they strafe and you dont you will still win like i did scouts need some melee luuve

sometimes stafing prevents the scout to land the shield stun and that's the meaning of it when i'm using it. because we all know that scouts eighter run & hide or critshot, critshot, rapid fire after the stun lands... which is not desirable in eighter case.

and why OP? u were buffed as well so no advantage over u regarding stats.

The outcome would be the same if u would meet a buffed bm/zerker/ns/sb,
last time i felt OP was in leirvik vs unbotted toons using crap gear, but as soon as i hitted real rvr things changed pretty much (tho i still meet unboted toons... but they are pretty few )

Engage with your shield, wait 30 secs or so and your fighting a one handed pierce user in leather with no inate defense.
Sounds good on paper anyways.
Then again I'm glad vamps are hibbies.

plent of low rr vamps that drop fast.. lgd heat r a good start for the extra damage....

A vamp oop is free rps. At the end of the day, just purge the fumble, use endurance potions/crystals, and there you go... If you let the vamp gain power, then it's a killing machine outdamaging every melee class out there (with the claw).

Regarding the claw or the high DDs as it has been refered to, you have to spec fully in one line to get them, and they're not that many of us who have done that.

And saruman, you're a scout, you shouldn't really expect to melee a toon that's on a tank damage table. There is nothing OP here, just try to pick your fights next time. Get a vamp on a 2000 range, and all you need is 3 arrows (then ofc the vamp can use a dd charge or a javellin, you can fz, it can use a potion, you'll slam, it will purge, you might phase, it will fumble, you'll purge... so many variables really)
