and ermm.. i detect him the same way i detect others (with only MoS1.. and 19+5 stealth

Ah...Communism the scout 24 stealth is a waste but still thats up to you mine is much lower as there no need for so much stealth because assassin's will see me and you anyway at some point (and i also have mos2.)

he always finds me before I find him and gets pets onto me, annoying

you unstealth at the top of mb pet was on his way!!..you jumped into water restealth the other side ran along ck wall pet got to you but you ran into keep...your lv of stealth didnt even come into it

Theres lots of nice things you can do with a hunters pet or badgers
