I think spying is crap, I hope they get caught and banned. A note on the side though, cast your mind back to saterday's RR, I am sure the dissappointment level was the same, there were a lot of albs laughing on the boards about it, to those ones especially, I hope this tastes bitter.

At the end of the day if there's someone passing on cross realm information it needs to be dealt with no matter which realm it is. As for the massacre... well...

the reason you wwere able to take out 10fgs of afk albs is because you acted on information given by a spy.
Our exact loc was known because of the spy, NOT because you were patrolling.
GET IT RIGHT if you didnt have spies info you wouldnt have had the oppurtunity.

I don't see how 10fgs losing to 2fgs can be attributed to a spy when it is glaringly obvious that is the albs involved hadn't /stick + afk so tightly together then it wouldn't have happened. Don't blame people for you own stupidity. 10fgs should have kicked those 2fgs all over the zone.

first of all: spies are lame, ruin the fun and the work of many people involved in organising the raid
as to the usefulness of the information:
1) before brimwolf said he has information that albs probably had a relic raid going on there were numerous very clear posts on the CF AS saying that albs are near scath, hibs patroling dagda to find the albs, stealthers blocking road from cain to dagda, etc. It was clear at this very moment that there is a RR on.
2) Belomar: before you start spreading shit here plz be careful what you say. I have read all the CF AS messages and at NO TIME was the exact loc given. If your "hib friend" knew the loc then I am tempted to ask myself where he has got it from - it has never been broadcast over the CF AS
I am not sure is the spy has changed anything because it was clear that alb were raiding before brimwolf posten on as
as for the overpowerdness of hib: you cannot blame hib for rolling lots of pbaoe casters - roll an ice wizzy yourself - it's an awesome class and will become even more so with a future patch (forgotten the exact number) with 10% debuff and same cast time on pb as chanter/SM. I have an ice wizzy on prydwen myself and really enjoy playing it - albeit the fact that you have to tell every group what this funny looking expanding ice ring does...

Spies/radar are truely lame, not in the spirit of the game and certainly against the rules of the game.
That said, 10fg stuck on one person and afk is pure stupiditty, had people not been afk and a little more spread this would never of happened and hence this thread probably wouldnt even of been here.
Unfortunately, use of spies/radar does exist. It is probably best to assume that this is happening and compensate for that in your planning.

sure this is bitter looseing (coz of a spy), but if 16 hibs could kill 80 albs without spy then we just say we were pwned - but i doubt you would have found 80 albs together without the help that spy - so say pwned all that you want.
if you had owned us fair and square without cheating, i dont think you would have seen a single alb bitter, but with cheating you have made a whole realm bitter....

hmm or maybe coz a certain spy told our loc where yoy find 80 albs instantz mezz and send in the pbaoers - oh yer hibs skills and tactics - and the kills were done extremly easy coz we were tight packed.
SKILLS = enchanters quickbar
TACTICS = using spys
you would never have gotten those kills without using the SKILLS & TACTICS

Surely the fact that only 2fg of hibs were there indicates that they didnt use a spy for the location, because no 2fg of hibs would believe that they can beat 10fg of albs alone. Had 10fg of hibbies turned up to trash you I would of been a little more suspicious.
What is of greater concern is the attitude that spy information didnt matter as they already had people out looking for a couple of rouge groups of albs.

2fg's should never ever own 10fgs, regardless of the information they got. You were asleep at the helm, hell, you should have pwned! them stupid, and then come to the conclusion that your RR was compromised.
All that was said in /as is a confirmation of a relic raid, not an exact location. The exact location came when those 2 fg's found you.

Spot on with the first paragraph. In the second, The vast majority of us think that spying sucks. TBH, the spying info only confirmed RR, we already suspected and loads of hibs were inc, it was however also not right.
Different people have different rules and codes by which they play this game. Many of the things I find cheap and dirty(nova's underwear for example), others take for granted, and vice versa. I tried to judge them once, and fell hopelessly short, I no longer bother. GOA has done sweet nothing about many complaints from the beginning, hell, they can't even restore all 4 chars with their items to a mate, how does anyone think they will do anything about this?

remember the previous rr? the zone crashed rr? right....i was at dagda solo near there at the time and was killed as i tried to find where the albs was
so im dead and a few hundred albs were coming from S to dagda....so that spot u was sitting on....WAS KNOWN. it was the last place we checked enroute to scath
now think for a sec, if we new the exact loc blah blah and sizeable numbers do u really think we would have approached with 2fgs??? we would have called for more hibs......BUT we thought your rr was still in progress (ie. still building up your forces etc)
imagine my surprise when i realise i aint got no moc and we run into 10fgs of albs. i was certain i was gonna die, and my only job was to take down as many as i could before i spammed /as with RR! 10fgs albs etc
on /as before brim told anyone of rr 28 peeps was reported in collory area, patrol or wotever i don't know. we was at bolg at the time and kind of sick of emain so we went to check it out
its been said about a billion times already but if 2 tanks slammed 2 of our pbs....we would've been slaughtered. i got to pb in 3 different spots, i wasn't oom but that was coz we covered the area so well.
say wot u like about spies but they're in regular use, rraiding is perma gimped and can never be fixed and everytime a rr occurs a spy will be involved. it's sad but 2bh you wonder y peeps rnt so keen on rraids anymore...

Then just be ready to eat it again, the reason enchanters are overpowered is that they got heat debuff + a heat base line dd, not because they got PBAoE, EVERY realm got this, just that some people dont have experience enough to setup balanced groups. Imo a pbaoe eldritch is way more helpful in group vs group situations because they got more tools.

shame I missed it, was l8 at nGed and then l8 at Crim then died at amg then suicided and went to exp cos u got pwned.
hehe ld'ing in front of amg is an experiance and a half come back on with 4 albs surrounding me
btw radars were mentioned, if u wanna start accusing us look back at yerselves. Was in DF yesterday afternoon alb zerg passed me while stealthed, nps until they came back and a Friar from some distance away looked straight at me came over and pwned me. If that werent a radar well fuck me, wish I'd got a name
