Aye, do that! I haven't seen many mercs/BMs lately, so i feel a bit lonely with my zerker.

Had lots of good fights today though. Lost more than i've won, but still had some fun.

after playing inf for so long, arms seems so much easymode.. only cl3 and no decent template and can kill lots more than inf

not like im a bitter old twisted fool... but mythic have borked daoc now and playing a visual solo specialist is pretty much 100% pointless unless your like 1 armed irl, or play really really drunk or stoned....

or maybe blind....

soloing on merc is actually much worser than soloing on inf... I wanted to cry irl when i duelled some rr2 hero and he blocked 90% of my 2100 WS styled hits.

BL lighttank with DT cant be hard tbh.... specially with that much WS... no way its gonna be blocking 90%.. you will get through a lot hit hard and have lots of toys to win you the fight.

now imagine your merc has no BL... and is soj (cant do any damage with anything on soj line)... imagine it has 1600 WS and 2300 hits... and no DT....

yeah it would be better if my ra's or even spec would be solo.. also my template doesnt have winged helm or +11 parry, in 1.88 it will have all those and I'm gonna respec to solo RA's, then we will see

And I know that rangers atm are one of the worst toons ingame, even worse than minstrels

Imagine a high rr merc with WH+SOM, bls, DT+RR5, Reflex Attack3, str3-4 and mop4 , would be uber

Try play a lighttank and then you wont say that. DT doesn't work if the opponent block, parry or evade.
WS doesn't have that much of an impact on defence penetration either. Not enough that light tanks hit through defences much more than assassins.
A bit more, yea, but not a whole lot.

Did anyone else get pwned by the Master Wizards, Master Eld's that the lvl 100 guy summoned the other night (Must have been wednesday), when I was dueling with some of you guys on my rr2 HO-Polie (Gydron) ?

And whats up with those stealthers, who thinks -while stealthed, that they triggered a duel by /bow'ing to you, while you stand there typing/healing up after a fight, then come to PA you - when you cant see them or /bow back to show that you're willing/ready to duel.... "Okay, now I /bow'ed to him, so lets start the fight... HAH I win!"

Can't you roam I little? Maybe just around crim bowl area and such, hate knowing that everyone willl be standing around dropoff area. And hate this '/bow, can I fight you? no? <tries next target> /bow...' and so on, boring as hell.

but Im making my comparison from my experiences on the ranger post 1.87... so the thought of 3000 hits.. Parry and BL and DT seem rather nice.

Yea, a melee ranger must be quite frustrating to play atm.
I have lost pure melee fights against scouts with my zerker after patch, so a ranger with less hits, a lot worse defence and less offence, can't be too fun.


I agree with Kivik, some roaming would be good. I like to get the jump on people. Too bad there's no reason for people to roam.
I had some good fights, but it does become boring standing around in a circle for too long, taking turn fighting people. Still better than getting zerged in iRvR though.

Have to agree all the idiots rolling shield tanks is making soloing really boreing fighting the same crap all over again because people cant be arsed to make a class work and just roll some fotm.

Fights with shield tanks vs anything else you basically shouldnt ever lose, and vs other shield tanks its just boreing.

Funny to see sacre whine that warriors were OP etc and couldnt kill them because of jiradon, i wonder how many people consider you as a no go because they cant kill you? a hell of a lot more and you whine on one class that you cant kill..... kind of silly.

Any of you shield tanks want to 1v1 my bonedancer and see how frustraiting it is to fight, same way it feels like fighting you atm.

That's true, however Jiradon usually fights me with just 2-h when I jump him on inf ( and I always jump, even if I will lose with a 90% probability) and he doesnt use IP... so he is much better to fight than some others.

yes brite playing a pd5 caster wud be frustrating vs a bd, or not ofcourse, take each fight as it comes and dont cry cuz ppl play certain classes. am i not right in assuming u have a valkyrie ?

anyhoo enough of the QQ about shield tanks its what people want to play and i personally have more fun on my shield tank than i have in daoc in a while! and Jira and others wud prob say the same.
