Okay this bloke Poopscoop posted a fastwalk script elimintating all noise when fastwalking. First he posted it over at cs.net scripting forum where there aresome very unscopilous peeps. He got a good reaction from one scripter who did not consider it cheating that he could walk quickly without sound.

Poopscoop then posted it here, here is what he posted, taken from the cs.net forum.

Hi all, first off let me say that I don't consider such a script as a cheat...it just saves me clicking my Mouse2 button 4 times a second to mimic the same effect....

Here it is and it's SO simple....

Why am I making such a big deal about this?
Well....unlike all the other scripts ive seen (simple or hugely big) this Fast Walk makes NO noise whether your straffing or whatever....none. None of that "single footstep noise every so often" junk...complete silence (on my machine anyway!)
The ONLY way to get it to make a noise is to go down a slope (ie Dust) while jumping. But being "stealthy" is hardly compatible with jumping around anyway.....
This doesn't need to be toggled on or off either, its so reliable use it as a total replacement for the normal Walk function. Just press and hold to Fast Walk, let go to run...course...you can toggle it on if ya wish.

Please let me know wot you think, im hardly an expert scripter but I haven't seen another fast walk script that works as flawlessly as this does. The simple use of "+movedown" works fairly well....but you still get the annoying "random footstep noise" which gives ur position away.
Anyway, try it out and tell me how u get on!

Well anyway along with this in the BW forum he posted a rambling, and very loose argument for why this script is not a cheat. Comparing it to buy scripts and grenade throw scripts, radio scripts etc. He even went as far as to claim how it could not be detected by Punkbuster and he could useit on anyserver he liked.

Now I found his reasoning extremely offensive, I mean I know fast walk exists and its a big problem. But its like people who figure out how to script bunny hopping, it just takes the exploit to that next uneeded level. SO anyway I called him a cunt, okay your probably not a cunt but your reasoning is wierd and posting ways to cheat in CS forums is bound to get you flamed.

I did not only call you a cunt, I also posted why I thought it was a cheat, something along the line of

First your a ****, second it is a cheat. Fast movement in CS is meant to make noise, anyway way you find to remove it is cheating. FFS why cant you people just play the game as it was intended rather than looking for ways to make it easier.

Now I think I was perfectly justified in everything I said there. I'm glad his thread was deleted so quickly, and Poopscoop I hope you see that not everyone wants to be unfair in game, and we dont want to be told that x,y,z has a perfct new cheat. Next time keep it to yourself, be as immoral as you like just dont post it for all and sundry.

TBH...I really wouldn't classify this as cheating. Not proper cheating at least. I'm not trying to absolve PoopScopp at all, because quite frankly the manner in which he "pimped" the script annoyed me slightly.

However, the only "scripts" I use are toggle on/off walk, crouch...and a few misc shortcuts for buying grens, deagle, armour. I wouldn't have a problem using this script at all, because I essentially do a "manual" fast walk (as anyone who may have watched me will attest.

Essentially it's all in the timing, but pressing the run key for X amount of time then letting go for Y (rinse and repeat) casues you to "fast walk" silently.

Well I dont agree with it, but atleast peeps who do it manullay
a) damage their fingertips, keyboard or mouse.
b) are not totally silent
Now the last point is where i have issue, he created and pimped a script that gives u a massive unfair advantge over other players with no effort.

Anyway I was in contact with the punkbuster team and havebeen informed that they are working on ways to eliminate the use of certain scripts like this.

OK Ch3tan. Youve made a valid post there. I don't mind people disagreeing with me, I do mind being insulted. You don't know me, neither I you. You cannot begin to sum me or anyone else up, by one single post on a forum. Having a differing opinion to someone else does not by definition make them a "c**t". The fact that you still stand by this comment saddens me slightly.
In posting this script I was at worst naive. The post wasn't intended to be malicious or harm the CS community. I made a fortunate discovery and was so chuffed I wanted to tell others about it. The fact that some would consider it a cheat did not even occur to me. Naive, yes. A deliberate attempt to subvert the CS community/ game I love.....NO.

I feel you have done me an injustice there m8. You infer that I said "i'll play were I like when I like and damn the lot of you!" Well, I never said that. I used the PunkBuster analogy to try and say "if PB don't consider it cheating then why do you?" I never attempted to say "I don't care wot you lot think, im gonna use it and spread it and you lot be damned." Infact soon as I got negative reactions I removed the script from my post. That is not the reaction of a reckless "cheater" out to spoilt the game.
I love CS and I frequent the Official CS forums. There are numerous scripts for fast walk on there and they are not removed or considered a cheat. I posted the script there too...to quite a different reaction, but still removed it cos of the reaction I got on THIS forum.
Anyone that knows me knows im an ok bloke who loves CS. If my enthusiasm for this script has caused problems then I regret that. But my reactions to your guys opinions (removing my script from this forum AND my autoexec) proves that I can accept when ive made a mistake. All I ask from you is the same humility....
Thanks to all the people on this forum who have sent me emails of support...it is a pity that they are scared to post openly for fear of flaming. That is a sad state of affairs in my book.

I think you'll find I did retract that comment

Also you posted that thread in the cs.net scripting forum, its not really busy and the people who are in it are sometimes VERY dubious, the dont see a lot of things as cheating. Had you posted your thread say in the general CS forum at cs.net i think you would have had a different reaction. All I hope is that you can see why your script is wrong, and that not too many people read it.

I agree with Ch3tan, it's crap... if you can't do it manually, then you shouldn't write a script to do it for you... walking fast and silently all adds to the exitement of playing cs 'coz you know you're gonna let of a footstep or two, and you don't know if someone's gonna hear you... basically, if you need a script to do it for you - you suck, and the next step will be head-shot scripts 'coz you probably suck at cs anyway...

There is an option to turn footstep sounds off of the server, why not get your own and have a totally silent server... see how much fun that is...

Personally, I believe that if some1 does something in the game that the creators didnt intend for the "thing" to be done then it pretty much is cheating. I dont mind buy scripts but stuff like scripts to make u run silently I feel just rnt right and shouldnt be done. I play CS without ne scripts at all as I feel it take away slightly from the exhileration and fun of the game.

...lie to me baby (JUST KIDDING, I DONT CHEAT) The reasons why I wouldnt cheat is because it takes the fun away from the game by having an unfair advantage and that people just generally hate cheaters. I sure as hell do. Except once I saw some1 become a bush and some1 else become a helicopter firing wat I think was a para machine gun. I got to admit it was BLUDY funny. But I didnt really "approve" of it. But my sides hurt becoz it was soo funny. This was in some American server tho.

Ok, tbh at this point i would normally say sorry but I dont see a valid reason as to why I should. Im just saying that cheaters piss me off and the way he advertised it was stupid as it may encourage others too cheat. Those people may play on the same servers as me. Which i wouldnt like. If I was poopscoop I could have a field day with yours a Stu-'s comments, I already told him in my post which u should have had the decency to read if you are going to reply that me calling him a cunt was unfounded, I then made a valid point about why I disagreed, I did not need backup of any sort especially people just calling hima cunt.
