Managed to buy what I believe all the episodes up to Shippudan (sp?) and most of them too!

Am currently on Episode 180 and things have quietened down a little. Am guessing something cool will happen soon. If you can't remember the episode I refer to, it's the one's with the Star Village and the theft of the star.

Really love one of the ending songs which iirc was on season 2....but it's this one.

Oh yeah, for anyone interested in buying the episodes, ebay seems to do them for about £20-25. You dont get a fancy case but who cares!

p.s. there is a site which streams them for free (easy to find), but some episodes are in English (prefer japanese speaking with UK subtitles), plus the quality is not as good.

Not into Blackjack, but Naruto's gone downhill after he learns the "Rasengan", it'll be a lot of filler episodes dragging on lore a bit (whereas before it'd be more reliant on narrative combat with lore cutscenes), it's sadly dragging out quite a bit.

Nonetheless still way above average though, but you'll notice the drastic change of the formula soon enough

If your more of the action kind of guy like me I can recommend Bleach to you, it's a great anime, if you read up on what world it plays in you'll probably be like "wtf", but once you watch it it starts to make sense. (in other words don't read up on it, just go watch it xD)

Haha yea, Black Jack is an old manga (I'm into this stuff, I like the japanse culture and that which it spews forth, like anime and manga ), won't recommend it to this day and age though, it's really aged and never was properly subbed.

And yep, those are the eps I'm on about.

I also think you got fair warnings about the fillers lol, seems I'm not the only one frustrated about it

And sure, about the dling, the eps before 100~ are kinda rare to find in full quality 1 episode at a time, and I suppose if you want the whole series it indeed is quite a hefty chunk of GB's, if you did get 1 to 220 and shippuuden eps for £20, you didn't get ripped at all imo, people I know who sell it sell it for like 10€ per season. And the official anime dvd boxes are even more so expensive. (I thought it was around 100€ for 3 seasons, that was Dragon Ball Z atleast.)

But enjoy them while they last! Not many good anime's out there besides Bleach and Naruto, I'm quite annoyed myself at the moment because there weren't any eps released this week!

One tip though, whatever you do, don't start reading the manga while your still working on the anime, the manga is like 150 episodes ahead of the Naruto anime, and a lot of plot twists aren't the same/but the outcomes always are

I did buy series 1-3 (episodes 1-75 iirc) for about £30 on ebay and I got a nice box etc, but I dont have the space in my room for novelties so simple sleeved dvd's are fine.

Yep it's a real shame, think I heard the main reason about it was because animating combat is expensive stuff (you pay your workers for a pretty scene that's only going to show up about 0.5 second in the show).. although I don't see how Naruto could have budget problems with them selling the license for games and spin-offs thereof, to lots of different companies. (Royalties 4tw!)

Maybe the current eps were written by an emo american because the original story writes were tagging along with the hollywood writers strike, who knows

I really hope tho it learns from Bleach, that series has had only 3 or 4 filler eps which I could count so far, and for those it was even only like 1/3rd of the episode!

That is, my definition of filler is lore that bores, useless crap (tons of inappropriate or too much flashbacks), screen-slides over the same scenery, etc.

true enough, i dont loved the first ones in naruto
the water one with kakashi was probably one of if not the best fight in the series imo

In the american dub, it's translated to "Believe it!" which is retarded, and has become quite the joke for anyone stupid enough to watch the english dub ^^

Kishimoto wanted to give Naruto a childlike catch phrase, and "dattebayo" came to mind. It complements Naruto's character, and serves as a verbal tic that shows him to be somewhat of a brat.
