Then Alz did a /rude.

Last time i ran into him solo, i gave him a hug after killing him. So much for being polite.

Edit: I often rudespam myself though, but that's usually to bards that insta-amnesia me so their group can gank me.

Oh yeah, the hit and run guy who zephyrs everything and everybody. Ofc i had to grapple u cus otherwise u'd zephyr-kill alz and run like hell like u always do. He laughs spams u cus he hates ur gutts, I dont fancy u either.

wild guess, but it might have something to do with you being a known radar-user, who can't fight anything without having to zephyr it first.

Well, I think we can conclude that it's becoming less a matter of skill to win a 1 on 1.

Turgon has shademode, FZ, phaseshift and IP.. so when he got all his instas up, which he usually has when i meet him, there's no chance of winning. He's good ofcourse, but it's not very hard to be good when you have acces to these overpowered abilities.

Zoia has been around for ages. Managed to get RR5 when she was a bluecon if I recall correctly. I must've fought her like a 1000 times and I can definately say that she's a good skald. Even before the age of ToA she managed to be a pain in the ass to 3 grouped enemies by her skilled play.

Moral of the story I guess, can't ever compare these 2 players Even though Turgon does a nice job atm, he started to be active in the age where skalds are pretty overpowered where as Zoia has been around for ages and has proven to be a tough skald all along.



P.S Not meant to flame Turgon btw, at all. He keeps killing people, so he must do something good Even though I found it a bit crappy that you added on me and Layla when we were taking up Tiamath and Myztic and that you IP-d and jumped the amg wall when you started to loose

P.S2 Funny how people accuse both Turgon and Alzheimers of using radar. I was beginning to ask myself how it was possible that they always get the amount of deathspam they get. Then again... maybe in Alzheimers case, that's just because he camps htk odin 15 hours a day and the other 9 hours he adds on <synergy> fights

Skald vs solo Casters is just not fair, it isn't skill, your class is overpowered versus casters. Of course, you probably won't admit that and claim it is skill, denying you have 1500 range interrupt(snare), 2 instas and instant mezz, along with zephyr. Skald vs two casters is a bit more fair but skald often win when they instant mezz one or zephyr and take the other, doing 300-500 damage in melee and another 350 or so with their two instas, doesn't take long.

When you start playing you have to chose degree of difficulty:
1. Easy - Midgard
2. Medium - Hib
3. Difficult - Alb

Since i'm only ML3 i don't have Zephyr, but yes, skalds are a good class against casters even without it.
Many can be hard to beat though, even as a skald. Thurgs, hib casters if my purge isn't up. Sorcs can be pretty hard too.

I'm sorry if i offended you when i gave you a /hug after killing you that one time.
I sometimes do that when i kill someone in an uneven fight, lowbies, unbuffed people or an unlucky caster. Maybe they will feel better.

I didn't say it was lame, I was just curious why you didn't just move out of my 700 range... or your pally didnt just slam me? Thought it was quite funny you burned a 30 min RA instead.

FZ is cheat yeah, but given the choice between using FZ or dying to a casters just cos he has MoC... FZ every time.

I don't think it's anything to do with who is better, we just both enjoy soloing. I personally think Zoia still has the edge on me and I've seen him win fights I wouldn't even have taken on. :worthy:

I burned moc, not because I had to because lifedrain and grapple/bodyguard was enough, but because I couldn't be arsed with being interrupted all the time and delaying it, and you're good at running away from fights with endpots or whatever you use and phase shift.

Regarding choice between FZ and being moc'ed, Turgon, after you spent your Zephyr and I moc'ed, you used walkthrough bug against me instead. All to win, even bug abuse.

Zoia got a hug yesterday instead of rude ;P Happy now?

I wish Cabalist dont have any aoe cc,no speed or bolt range mezz so i usually end up eating dirt when i face more than 1. Yus moc could help but being 3l4 i dont have it yet.

Sorc is definitely best caster class to solo with.

with all RA's up sorc and cabalist are pretty equal due to both having the ability to MoC, however sorc should beat cabalist every time

i.e.

bolt range aoe mezz = cabalist and the pet mezzed, send pet, single dex debuff cabalist, nuke nuke nuke if cabalist uses MoC run or MoC yourself

cabalist pet is useless against a sorc

what reasons do you have to suggest why cabalist is superior? only 1 i can think of is Nearsight and maybe disease, but very few tri specced cabalists about

I was not talking about solo, it was best caster 1 vs 1, it's definately cabby because of nearsight. (Most tend to go for 50% debuff with 25% nearsight, go for 30% debuff and 45% nearsight instead, target will almost have zero body resist anyways, if they have no resist buffs

And censi, killing a buffed necro is easy for another caster, just stun it and it only takes a few nukes. Although for a tank, necro is the best. Cabby would do best in general, and cabalists don't face other sorcs in rvr, Feyd - so that argument is not really a good one.

Yeah you're right, you just IP+insta mezz+first aid+life potsomeone and then zephyr if it gets tough and then u run if you get low on hp.

hehe, yes just gotta love zephyrs, got killed to times by a mincer i think, not sure, when i was running with my runemaster, talk about having to be sure you wont fight back, not that a RM can do much against, a mezz and then zephyr
