and maybe theres ppl who rolled savages while zerkers where still the wtfpwn lighttank, or who just like the idea of the class, punching ppl in the face with almost bare fists, going wild sacrificing your own life to kill etc xDD

imagine your class would become totally uber and fotm. would you like it ? think about it. bet most would prefer a decent class, not gimped but also not so uber that everyone and their mother rolls one and you get 5 tells per day from lvl 20's asking you how to spec and if race xyz can wtfpwn too etc^^

midzerg inc, 3 of 5 zerks go rat mode for meh to get the kill :>

although the savage buffs are on a 5sec timer so you dont really loose anything, so no reason not to use them (except that im too lazy to press extra buttons for poor soloers ;P)

warriors and zerks are not really that much worse than savages, so they are still doing ok in groups, but if you do a /who for all the viking classes at lvl 5 or w/e (or 20 now i guess) theres a lot more warriors and zerks than there are thanes anyway. But im sure they all made that choice because they wanted a pure fun class ;l (fyi i just rolled a warrior to be uber)

Savages are not the only ones doing that.
A day i was soloing, i had a group of hibs on me, mezz, stun, nuke etc and the BM in the group used triple wield.
And that was while triple wield was on a 30 min timer.

That made me smile.

How about a change to the DPS buff, thus:

Instead of having it raise Base damage, it could in fact raise weaponskill.


The effect of this would be that damage goes up by the same percentage, but damage CAP does not raise when the buff is fired, meaning casters aren't insta-killed as frequently.

my opinion is that I rolled a savage on day one and did not enjoy playing it so I kept with my BA specced bonedancer and level 50 dwarf hunter.

The Friar can hit hard and evade like a maniac just as much as the savage. And when you get Nightshades and Infiltrators evading arrows then to me that is being over powered.

Savages are meant to the equivelant of the EQ monk light armor and fast damage. You are all moaning here cause you cant not think of a way to beat them without nerfing them to hell and back.

Midgard is meant to be the combat realm out of the three, so I think the savages fit in well and all that needs doing is to pollish up the other tanks Midgard has and its Hunters.

Fine, it doesn't have to modify actual weaponskill, but it can still factor in the same part of the damage equation. i.e. it can be an added factor in determining the percentage of potential base damage that you do on a particular hit.

Savages are overpowered, not due to dps-add, only combined with 2h.

Its the quadrate, the uber offense & defense combined that is overpowered. Reduce evade alot, lighttanks is supposed to have the highest dmg-output, but not the highest defense.

So you reckon savages are fine and Mythic should bring the other mid classes up to a par with them?
