I've noticed this quite a bit, Realm mission or not, sometimes tactics that realms use when taking keeps simply screams out "WHY?!".

For instance Albs will take Nott, then run down to Bled and have lots of cool fights. The whole coast is full of good 1on1 up to 8on8 (and 6alb stealthers on 2 mid ones - but that's another story). Then a bunch of idiots will attack one of bleds towers to stop the port! Nice move! Make a delay on fights for no reason at all. This makes a few minutes delay for mids to come and play.

Then next bunch of idiots take a Glen tower, stopping another port, and then they all /cheer themselves for taking an unclaimed keep, and then they sit around waiting for a fight, wondering why it's taking Middies a while to arrive......and then it takes 5 minutes more to get there via Arvakr.

Then someone tries to take an Arvakr tower (!). Usually some hibs being funny.

What does this achieve - let's see - ok you frustrate the middies by stopping them getting anywhere, but you also stop them getting to you to have fights and make RP. Middies are inherently lazy, we have no relics, if you stop us getting to you, a lot will just think "ah sod this" and log or go craft or go PvE.
No fights for you, no RPs.

This also happens in the other Realms when an enemy has instaport. Everyone is getting lots of RP because there are so many fights. Everyone wins because the more fights you have, the more RPs you can make, then someone comes along and takes a tower :/

Again - yes - anyone can do whatever they want in the game yadda yadda, but I don't see the point in basically stopping or delaying people fight against each other. Not everyone has unlimited time to play the game (damn all the students and unemployed playing as albs :>, so the less time to get to a fight, the better!)

Maybe the game should allow porting to the keeps with docks by the host realm until the keep itself is taken, no matter how many towers are taken, and leave the other keeps as they are at the moment.

Maybe also when a Realms relic is in another Realms keep, taking the towers around that keep should also lower the level of the keep to make it easier to get the relics back :>

Anyway, back to work

Eggy u got to myrmidon yet?

I don't know who you are, but yes my cleric is about to hit RR9 and my sorc RR7.

I predict the idea of your remark was to incite flaming; however, some people like myself, play the game for other reasons than to RVR 24 hours a day. I think RR9 and RR7 (as well as a few RR4/5) is pretty good considering I have a full account of TOAed level 50s (yes, I enjoy PVE a great deal also), while still handling a busy social life, degree course, job and girlfriend.

I imagine school starts again for you soon; good luck on the retakes.

We've had realm missions for approximately 90 days or so.

Considering I have played probably 3 evenings a week, that equates to 30 days I have been in-game since realm missions were introduced. 10 of these evenings would have been PVE more or less; that leaves 20 nights RVRing.

RR7 + RR9 = 5,942,250 realm points.

5,942,250 / 20 = 297,113 (0dp) realm points / evening (average).

Purely based on realm missions, at about 4,000 realm points per mission, that would mean I complete 74.28 (2dp), or 74 (2sf) realm missions per night.

Given that each evening online is probably an average of 5 hours, that equates to 14.86 (2dp) realm missions per hour, or roughly one realm mission every 4 minutes.

So basically, you're complementing me!Thanks!

you noticed that now? *lol*

Albs have been trying to take glen for a week now(or longer), guess we dont zerg enough for you to notice. We better get even more ppl. :)

And yes us zergys like doing realmmissions. well actually we just like big sieges and any keep will do, so why not the one in the realmmission? makes sense. I agree this is the 3-4 times Glenlock have been Realmmission, makes me annoyed too. you like 1 feature of the game, we like another.
