Hehe Nice one but still not a record he hit me for 1795 around christmaas with 45% heat and full shields up! But then again its a high rr firewiz so even though I think ALL instakill damages are rediculous its not as bad as some other classes that takes serges down with 3 nukes!

Bolts take the target's AF into account, not only the damage type resistance (IIRC it is 50/50 AF and resistance). Like Elendar says, it seems you did not have all your shields up, ergo this obscene damage.

Yep, all my RAs except Purge are passives. As people have pointed out already, you are missing either your AF or your Abs shield buff. Bolts are 50/50 melee/magic, so you only get that kind of damage when someone's shields are down (and a lucky crit).

don't know about everyone else, but the times i've been active in RvR (not that long though) it's been a rarity to see legacy add. they've even pulled out a fair few times when another hibgrp added. i've yet to see alaron doing anything like that though.

Yeah because alaron's grp (made of guildies/friends) being totally unopted, mostly having 1cleric and a DI Bot at best, with no sorc can really do well fg vs fg cant they?

And dont start the "well he should get a balanced group then" because he plays for fun and to have a laugh with friends, not to be ubeh. His values are different to your own.. and legacy have a reputation for adding/zerging so that probably why that person made the comment

The eldritch is without a doubt the best of the three "pure" damage dealing classes. I often wish I had rolled an eld instead back at release.

Mind you, if our guild had the right classes I'd make opted groups every day. But the reality is that we don't and I'm not going to ask people to roll new chars.

i'm not trying to flame or spread the hate, there's to much of that going on. i really don't have anything against alaron 'cept the fact you usually die to quite a few ppl when you see him. i just thought that legacy-remark was abit unjust, since most of the time i've seen them they leave fights alone.

i don't claim that it's wrong, but as i said before, i just think it was a unjust remark.
