Ah yes, bad mistake. But with whisky, it's not that bad. It's actually miniscule effect. But the thing with whisky, and other such drinks, is that once you open the bottle and let air in, you pretty much have to finish it if you want the whole bottle to taste "aaaaahh". It quickly turns, even in a day, into a bit more bitter alcohol.

Also, interesting enough, it's not actually that old whisky, just bottled that long ago...NOW a 150 year in the barrel...mmm...that would be quite nice.

Especially considering the amount needed because of the angel share (around 2%(i think) is lost every year)

Oh it depends on money situations etc.

If i'm in my poor a** self situation, something like Mckinlays original(around 17e) or Glen Parker single malt special reserve(23 or so) is rather cheap, for that quality.

I tend to keep to scotch single/blend whisky.

You'd get better returns on your money if you invest in Whisky than anything else these days. My Father-In-Law bought two £1.5k bottles last year for an investment, they have already went up in price £500 each.

Then when you want, you can either get it bottled, sent to you etc, but if you got the cash, it's probably a better investment then something like gold, or the stock market.

Not exactly.

Scotland, Wales, Japan and Canada use whisky and Ireland/US uses whiskey. It's just the way it is. A mark of where it's made. Though, the US mostly makes bourbon, as it's not really whisk(e)y.
