Fancy Dress Advice Please!

Heres the deal;

I've got a friends birthday coming up soon and the theme is Action Man or Barbie. Now although it is tempting to go out as a Barbie, i don't want all the male attention i'll obviously get

Can anyone give me some rough ideas, or even a complete costume i can make by improvising?

I have some cash at my disposal, although i don't want to have to buy anything over-expensive to look the part.

erm, get some army combats and a pair of boots from somewhere

then get like a dark vest on top, very tight.

then if you can get some camouflage cream from an army surplus shop or something and decorate your face with diagonal stripes of the alternate colours, may do a pic later for you but means i have to get grubby
