Fallout 3

So im quater of a century old today and thought i would treat myself to fallout 3, in a word its A M A Z I N G! Im sorely tempted to get stalker now to boot! There is not much point to this thread other than to advertise that its my bithday and fallout 3 is mega!

Fallout 3 is awesome. Has to be said they did themselves proud with it.

Get Stalker : Clear Sky - good improvement on the original. If you do get the original stalker, download the very large player-made patch. Fixes tons of bugs, adds lots of content (and weapons), new quests, and more logical / tactical play with the modifications to enemy AI.

Are you on drugs? Clear sky is the most bug-ridden POS ever released, you can only take getting killed by ladder/piece of landscape so many times before you fuck it off.

FO3 is OK, until you realise every corner is the same fight as last time.

Plus you can take down like 10 brutes in one go with the repeater.

You said get Clear sky (which is full of bugs and generally painful) you also said to get a player made patch for the original which isnt really needed as it actually works and is generally playable.

Clear sky is not a patch/expansion/mod it is a stand alone game that doesn't work...at all.

The player made patch improves the game and gives a better experience than the original (imo)

Stalker is a completely different type of game to Fallout3, if you like atmospheric games then have a go at stalker. It is very much so a marmite game (a bit like fallout), so ignore the doomsayers and give it a go yourself
Bear in mind the pace in stalker is alot slower and your starting weapons (as you would expect in a nuclear hotzone) are really bad

Theres patches for both out as far as i know? And i never said clear sky was a patch...The player made patch improves the gameplay experience hugely.
