So, loving the game, if you liked oblivion, and the world of fallout, you'll love this.

Just sucks you in really good, probably best immersion i've seen in a game :D

It's no fallout 2, but it's more of a "new genre" of fallout and should be treated as such. Comparing old fallout and this new one, well, the world is same, some dark humor, lots of violence and all that "fun stuff". Also good replay value as no game is the same.

A few things missing, like groin shots and such, and AI is always something "to be desired", but it all falls to place rather nicely. It's like fallout 1, we need this new series to get a sequel to really "pwn". Here's to fallout 4 :drink:

A few bugs as always, nothing big, but mainly this;

A few NPCs have gone missing in megaton, moriarty and lucy west. I've read that yo can bring 'em back via console, but the damn ~ key doesn't work. Playing on vista.

Any other ways to bring these lost souls back? Or any way to get my damn ~ key working? It's not like they are game braking, just immersion braking :(

Havn't played the game, but have you tried binding the console key to something else?
Also, try holding down ctrl/alt or shift and then try. Also, the key next to '1' on the keyboard sometimes is the console.

I've heard lots of people have had CTD's and various other issues with fallout3, even heard it been dubbed the worst release ever.
Any news on that?
Can't wait to play it, but alas, will have to :)

Maybe you need to run the game with -console

There's no "console key bind" ingame, so don't know how that would work.

Ofcourse, ingame it's an "american/uk" keyboard.

Have to try that.

Also nice idea crispy, will let you know when i get home :)

Does seem to be a few bugs, I found a way of getting infinite xp within the first hour of playing - not that I abused it ofc :p

The bug is apparently that the NPC's bug through the floor and die from falldamage, then despawn lol :(

Aye, hopefully a patch brings some "respawn if playerdamage=0" fixage :(

In my world, people are just suicidal :D

Nope, I've had no issues so far on my 360 version, and the 360 and ps3 ARE pc's. Heard problems galore with the PC version.

Yes 'cause Ch3tan almighty hasn't had problems, noone has

And if they ARE PCs, then why did you "fix the quote"? ;)

If you're going to RP you might aswell say that they just dissapeared, I mean - it can't be that rare in the fallout universe :p

Because RTS games would be confusing as fuck in 1st person?

I personally think that the new view is a good thing, whats 'bad' is really that it's trying to be both a shooter and a RPG.

1080p compared to 1920*1200 on my pc? not a huge difference.

controller is fine, I can use the controller for anything but RTS games.

People who choose to play an fps without a mouse need a good kicking tbh.

Its a RPG, not an FPS.

edit:// More on aika comment. Why would I care about mods? I hardly have time to finish a game these days before the next one is out. Also sitting on my bed, playing a game on a 42" screen is far more fun than sitting in front of a PC playing. PC gamers are a bunch of elitist twats and no mistake.

Oh and toht, I have been reading of issues with crashes galore on the PC version of fallout. Not a single issue with the console versions in terms of stability.

Yeah, and you're the one calling names. Shows how "wise console payer" you are

Never talked about stability did i?

Per example, ps3 problems.

So if ps3/360 has bugs, similar if not worse, and ps3/360 ARE PCs...what was your original point again?

Crashes galore is subject to platform differences too on PC, i for one, can play it very nicely even if it crashes at times(which isn't that often). Autosave is the preverbial win.

I consider any vista game that runs over 5 hours without issues a good game

They are, but then the creaking out of date pile of shit I had before this PC was also a PC :)

If you want cutting edge then the PC version is the only choice now. Same game, better textures, better resolution, longer draw distances, better controls :) Its not really opinion its just the way it is.

I dont wanna get into a flame discussion here, but seriously PC gaming is better in every aspect than console gaming.

It's quite a large difference considering that the consoles runs the game without AA and AF, which makes quite a big difference.

Replayability? I know that I wouldn't mind getting endless FREE content to a game I've bought.

Mines never crashed so far, maybe I'm just lucky - who knows? The only bug I've experienced is a platform wide bug with a quest.

Also, the whole elitist twats statement was quite humerous considering it was you who started insulting PC's.

I bought Mass Effect on release day for the 360 - played it through twice and really enjoyed it. Got it on the PC when it was released earlier this year and it was like a different game.

No more struggling with the controls, no more texture load-in crap, greatly reduced load times and much improved graphics. Enjoyed it so much more, I played it through 3 more times :)

So the choice between 360/PC for Fallout 3 was a no brainer for me
