With just a few days away from early access for pre-orders, lets take a look back at “The Poll to end all Polls” that started back in April. As of today, it has over 11,000 votes and provides an interesting view into the mindset of the game’s player base and their perceptions of classes and races from the beta.
I’ve taken some free time today and taken a snapshot of the poll results and parsed them out into graphs. The results are not very shocking, and in most cases rather predictable, but it’s nice to see a relatively balanced distribution of classes. Graphs are available after the break.

These people dont matter though - its what the retail masses do that will determine the balance of numbers.

Plus thats 11,000 from over 700,000 beta players and god knows how many pre-orders...

No one knows basically but one thing I am certain of is that there will be more force classes than non-force.

The numbers are heavily skewed towards force using classes. Reinforces my beta opinions and confirms I'll be going with a smuggler at the beginning.

The Force classes are more polished and feel finished - the trooper/smuggler are a bit more work in progress.

Assassin DPS first
Warrior tank second
Healer 3rd (could be any of the healers - will try the non force users and decide if they work for me)
After that I will definately try out an operative (sniper spec probably) and Bounty hunter (could be any spec) if i havent played either of the classes as a healer.

Dont know how many characters per server, never looked for that info. If I can have a load then I will then be switching back and playing a Sorc (not sure if dps or healer) etc etc

By the stats given, looks like business as usual. Every single stat on that could be applied to any other game

Female Sith Warrior speccing Marauder (Carnage specialisation) will be my main. Got her to lvl 17 without really trying in the weekend beta and loved every minute.
