I would dearly love to be able to directly compare one driver to another in that way - the differences in driving styles and attitudes is astonishing from one driver to the next - I know you're a huge Alesi fan, and I can't say I disagree

Who cares about Senna and Schuey? Put him in the same car as a young Alesi (make it a Tyrell for historical significance), Lewis wouldn't see which way the crazy Frenchmen went. To me this is all that matters.

I used to think this way but the simple fact is you just will never know, I could say perhaps put Alesi in the same car as Juan Manuel Fangio drove but in reality it is of the time that counts and in reality there is never just one great.
