Microwave spuds are a disgrace to the great name of the Baked Potato.

Not really, no.

If you don't have the grill combo, start them off in a microwave then throw them into the oven to crisp them, thus shortening the overall cooking time.

I would be lost without my microwave / oven / grill thingy as well, however like Sayward I would be more than a little pissed if I was given a domestic present.. Christmas to me is not a time for these kinds of gifts but for frivoulous stuffs that is shiney or makes pretty shapes or feels, smells, tastes, looks or sounds good..

Ususally domestic items are necessities so should therefore should never be bought as presents :p

In the end I bought her a bracelet/watch/necklace combo set. Still had to remove half the links from the watch ;)
She was happy with that anyway - will be taking her out tonight and tomorrow night for a meal and bingo (nnngh, pda at the ready) assuming I get paid like I should've been 4 days ago >:|

bingo is a mugs game. huge house edge, take her to the casino and teach her roulette - much more fun and you'll probably lose less money.

It's not the winning money that's important Chilly, we pay a set amount (max £15 for the lot) and thats the lot. It's not a bad night out if you're into that sort of thing (obviously I'm not but nm) and anything won back is a bonus.

I'd much rather spend £15 on 8 pints down the local mind :) :drink:

Agreed. But some of the posts afterwards from ECA and others were pretty funny :D

IPA is a quid at Wetherspoons?

Who's IPA though, if it's Greene Kings they can go sod themselves, it's not worth 50p a pint :)

Sucker for a decent beer though, IPA being my favoured. (a decent pint of Charles Wells IPA does me just dandy).
