Just finished playing this game (first encounter assault recon) through for the first time and thought it was such a great game that I'd put a post up here recommending it to anyone thinking of playing a first person shooter. Graphically, this absolutely blew away half life 2, doom3 and battlefield 2 and the different views such as bullet time view, the sniper scope and the memory scenes added greatly to just how good the game was.
If you like the ring, you'll love this (got the girl from it in) as it gave me by far the most spine tingling moments I've ever had in a game
The AI is phenominal, despite the lack of total enemy types there were and I only managed to find one bug which reloading seemed to fix (level9, the barrels scene). Enemies work in groups, jump for cover, flank you, run for reinforcements and every fight seems to be different.
As for the last level, I've never seen a better looking last 15minutes to a game in my life. I'm so tempted to say what happens at the end just to describe it better but I think it'd give away the story too much.
