Exping 40-50 alternatives

As we know lair is the fastest exp place in midgard (all realms?) when you have a group atleast before SI.
But with the new SI zones isnt there any other places to go when trying to go from 40-50?
I have spent more time waiting on hill trying to get into a group then exping and since I have done this crappy place with 2 other chars I know the drill and it realy pisses me off to know I have to do it to Ding 50.
Being a supp RM I have been in g1 since lvl 41 and still my total playtime 41-44 is longer then 1-40 and that makes me wonder.

SO if there is any players that wanna try find an alternative place in the new regions, item hunts or pure exp group, please send me a message , Piller 44 (atm) suppression runemaster or if not online try with Spix...
I can also provide your diamond seal farming group with 6 sec pbt if you need. I do almost anything as long as I dont have to spend 80% of my playtime hanging on the hill.
Since I work daytime and can only play from 5 cet to midnight its almost impossible to get a group before people going to bed and groups generaly splits up after a few pulls....

Actually if you get a good group (or even better, a guild group) the XP in DF is almost double that of lair and goes at roughly the same pace as the lair.

The only real difference is that the lair is a much more dependable XP spot, no doubt sombodys gonna argue that point but personally i find DF/Rau much more fun than malmo anyway.


As for SI zones, well sadly i still havn't gotten arround to exploring them too much yet. I keep meaning too but theres always a stupid hib/albi relic raid that demands my attention or a guild hunt, or a gimp who needs me to res his god damn buffbot!

It's not the mob xp ppl are after in Malmo, it's the fast spawn rate. If your not able to kill non-stop, you shouldn't xp in malmo. I have'nt found any spots that spawn that fast anywhere else.

Farahiem and larnwood seem to have some very nice mobs and seem to be in very big spawns.

In SI, you have Trollheim, Iarnwood, Delling Crater.

If you have a really strong team, you can xp in the Tuscaren Glacier.

I know that the T Glacier is the xp spot of choice now on many American servers.

Df is great if we have it, but the good spots can be heavily camped, especially the Succubus. Best spots i know in there are the Cambions on the Alb side and the Umbral Hulks down toward the really mean bits.

Imo shredders are really fast if you have a shammy for end regen and 2 tanks + healer.. then you can pull them nonstop.

I lvled from 49-50 on shredders only. In alb tho so we had pallys tooked about 7-8 hours.. and thats faster then lair i assume. Good thing with DF groups is that you dont have to be 2 fg to kill fast and smootly. And there are pretty many of them so we you will almost have something to pull all the time.

Well in the SI area you have Larnvidur's Lair in larnwood. A cave that is nice for FG exping. Nice drops and good spawn rate! though you need a good group for it.

Absolutely true, I did lvl 44 to 45 there in one night in a guild group which had only one lvl 50 in it, the rest of us were 43-47.

There are tonnes of mobs to kill and hardly ever anyone else around and the spawn rate is very fast. If one bit dries up you head round a corner and do the other.

As for drops, yep totally agree, we got about 15 different drop items in one night's bash (by night I mean from 8pm through to midnight) so it's not even as if we're at it for hours and hours on end.

Iarnvidius Lair is great and it looks a hell of a lot nicer than the Lair too

id say to quest in SI goes really fast and u get a couple of billions exp... reward items are very good too

With the right groups I've found chainkilling cyclopses in Raumarik to be exceptionally fast, and they do have a fast pop rate. Although I'm in no rush to power my way to my first lvl 50 as I'm taking my time and savouring the pain of watching that bar hardly move ;-)

DF would be great for xp, but there is to much running around as there are usually a number of groups farming diamond seals. There are some spots where the xp is amazing, but you can't get enough mobs to yourself to make it faster than lair over time. Although my last few trips to DF have netted me over 1 pip per hour at lvl 46/7

Also worth keeping in mind...

43,45 and 48 epics will net you 2 bubs of xp if you leave them till level 49.

Ancestral Secrets quest on SI nets you a bub (over 3 billion).

Varulvbane quest nets you about 2 billion all told.

Thats nearly 4 bubs of XP, if you dont fancy spending the extra six hours in lair to get them.
