Ok, i shan't be posting much (or at all) for the next few weeks for the simple reason that i'm about to start my Mock GCSE exams, and i need to do revision and whatever, so cya.

Also, for those of you wondering why I havn't been posting much for the last few days, I've been spending time trying my hand at creating a map for Half-Life MOD Svencoop, which is actually shaping along quite nicely.

Anyhows cya.

Mock exams are utter bollox. I worked out a cunning plan around them, in my mock exams I deliberately did complete shite and ended up with Fs Ds and other crap grades. Got a complete bollocking from my teachers and parents and when it came to my final exams did the best I could and got much better grades (Won't say what I got coz you guys seem to be all upper class snobs with better education than the secondary modern I went to) The difference in grades got me many pats on the back and eventually my first car. :clap: :clap: :clap:

Not really, thats just the excuse I give for poor mock exam results.

Mocks are thoroughly pointless, and should be seen as a chance to do fuck all for a week.

Mocks suck - the best mark i got in mine was a C

But i guess it did make me pull my finger out and get some decent marks in the real ones

Good luck, Dan. Don't get too bogged down - remember, they're just mocks. (So called because that's what the examiners do.)

ahh the mocks

funny things those, did them about 3 years ago... Trust me when i say things as they stand now are easy.... life and work will get a lot harder, yeah i couldnt believe that when someone older told me... until now.


and mocks dont really matter too much, except in selecting which group youll be in for subjects.

go get pissed down the park instead, youll find it much better...

Pah! Life's a lot easier now I don't have f'king homework to do. Plus, any exams I take are voluntary and take less time and are less stressful. Plus I have more money. :)

Although school was great fun for the most part, I wouldn't go back.

On a serious note, your mocks mean absolutely fuck all !

I played football through mine, then got C & D grades in mocks :)

As for your real exams revising would help :p

I didn't revise for mocks, got B/C grades

Then I didn't revise for actual GCSE's and got C/D grades


I found it more fun wathcing everyone else running around like headless chickens revising/panicing etc. :D

god, that thread r0x0red j0r b0x0rs. However, good luck. And don't worry if you get bad grades, its your A-Levels that really matter (oh god, *collapses with exhaustion after taking maths +physics+chemistry+english*)

i've got my mocks in a couple of weeks, and most of the teachers have gone round purposely trying to wind us up, whereas the rest are telling us to relax and do minimal revision because they mean fuck all... i expect i'll end up doing no revision at all and fail miserably, oh well... cest la vie!

I did my mocks a few years ago, Dont worry I didnt revise, and I passed all of them GCSE is piss easy

I past my gcses without revising fs, they're that shit. Well, bar graphics, where I didn't turn up and got a U#

The only revision I did was with a group of friends in the library, the morning before the exam in question. I found it a really easy way to learn, never once got stressed, and learnt many things I never new before which came in useful. And because it was all fresh in my mind I had nothing to forget! In the end I got A, B, B, B, B, B, B, C, C .

But mocks? I did shit; hehe. Something like B, C, C, C, D, D, F, U . It did give me a right kick up the arse though, so I knew I had to improve. If those mock results were like that in the actual GCSE, I probably wouldn't be sitting here right now :0
