Does anybody know if the ex_interp console command for CS is considered a cheat? I just had a member of my clan ask if he could fiddle with it and I'm not all that sure what to say. All I know about it is that it's something to do with client-side prediction and that the CPL don't allow fiddling with it. However, given what a bunch of muppets the CPL are, this doesn't really mean very much.

Any advice on what it does, how people look upon it and whether the admin mod objects to it much appreciated.

Lots of lpb's fiddle with the netcode to get the best feel out of the HL engine. Read the Geekboys HL netcode article and try it..... nothing beats a good aim and CS smarts tho
