Evo N410c Touchpad

Guys,

I have a Compaq Evo N410c laptop which has a built in touchpad (mouse)

This bugs the complete tits off me - is there any way to disable it?

It should appear in the device manager (On 2000/XP: Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager, or via the Administrative Tools -> Computer Management interface // On 9x Control Panel -> System -> Somewhere). From there you should find it (possibly under "Human Input Devices" or "Mice and pointing devices") and by right-clicking -> properties there will be an option (drop down list) saying "Do not use this device (disable)".

That ought to do it.
