After doing a quick google search of my name I spotted this: 123people

A site which grabs a lot of info about people into one place. I've got mixed feelings about this. The content on my page is public anyhow, but just feels wrong in some way someone can look someone up and see everything they've posted online in one place? Phone number, email addresses, house address...

Maybe just me being paranoid? Maybe a good tool if you've lost an old friend? Checking out a future partner?

No problem at all tbh, like they state here: 123people All information is on publicly available search engines. If you cannot control your privacy online then that is your own fault.

I am registered on lots of social sites for example, and get 0 results on that.

Only problem I can see is some people have mixed profiles. I.e. Dave Smith is probably going to throw up all sorts of mixed details :).

No problem with that at all, its actually quite handy, but you won't find me on there unless you really know what you're doing - because I set privacy properly. Even my Amazon wishlist doesn't appear on there.

Nada - I treasure the potential for anonymity on the net being a man of natural caution but I guess its mostly harmless until current and potential employers use it.

I once saw a guy marched out of our office for inappropriatly blogging about the company in breach of his confidentiality agreement so beware.

nothing on there from me personally, though most of the people it found on the diverse social sites all have more friends than I do :(

I feel dirty, apparently I am a Lib-Deb councillor. Though in my spare time I am an Australian Dr of biology.

Phew I did a search and all that came back was some dodgy case study done on me 5 years ago :)

Doesn't seem to find anything other than FB profile pic and loads of FM/games related links. That's fine by me :)

Nothing on me, not my facebook picture, nor my amazon wishlist, nothing. It would seem I share my name with a reporter for the BBC, lots of articles from them :)
