Stu, since you constantly ignore me on IRC, seems I might have to try and grab your attention on here.
You can not grasp the concept of being wrong. I have proven you wrong on many occasions.
For instance... you still can not believe I can get a windows installation running from scratch in 5 minutes flat.
I'm sure the more knowledgable people here will tell you it's quite easy with a straight HD image on CD. Norton ghost is a * very * useful util. Based on the same idea as those shitty recovery CD's you tend to get with PC's from PCWorld and the like.
Also.. about the 5 years old stuff. Obviously a person, at 5, is not exactly too aware of what goes on in a computer. Especially PC's that age. I had a thing for taking things apart from a very, very young age, and my Atari 800xl was soon amongst them. Getting frustrated that the colour had dissapeared, I managed to take off the top, and fiddled with a couple of screwdriver-variometers inside.. which fixed it.. since then I did get cocky, and learnt from then on.
People can develop a certain genius from as young as 2 years old. When I was 5 I was building the lego sets meant for 12 year olds. By the time I was 10 I had a complete grasp of gearings and pneumatics and was making things most average people couldn't do at 30 years old.
It is NOT impossible to acheive seemingly impossible stuff at a young age. You should learn this, realisation is something you still haven't quite gotten the grasp of.
Rant over.
