I've logged in 2 - 3 times or so since F2P to check if SOE has gotten their heds straight and enabled me to play my chars. But i can't play a single one of em unless i pay to unlock both race and class.... >.<

wife had same problem pay 1 month gold subs and it'll unlock all your stuff.

faction is irrelevant, you can have "good" and "evil" in same group/guild. etc

I actually played EQ2 ages ago for a while, think it was when they brought in some new woodland race....

factions only used to matter on the pvp servers iirc.

possibly, i cant recall, and theyve loosened it up a lot recently to make everything easier so

Mabs seems to have some magic levelling formula and jumps about 70000 levels every time I see him.

Good fun though, its definitely a good pottering about mmo, and the dungeons are immense. get a few of you in a dungeon and the loot/xp just flies up.

you mean like getting my beastlord from 1 to nearly 50 in a day ?
its called lvl 95-mentor

Just stick to the quests in the expansion zones and ignore the vamilla ones and you will level up almost as fast as in DAoC even without mentoring.

Doubt it, mentoring is so broken with an SK mentor

when you mentor down to X level, it reduces your stats, etc to that lvl, but it takes your normal stats into account
when i swapped my Templar from lvl 88 gear, to lvl 90 gear.. health went from 18k to 38k, mana went from 17k to 36k
gives you some idea of the jump in gear, then you get sidekicked down, and faceroll places

nah you just do the shared instances/dungeons
pulling entire rooms of 20ish orange-red mobs and insta killing them

Well all this talk made me install and see if they had enabled my toons yet, and they HAD....

But i can't get my fav custom UI to work so i uninstalled it again....

you need to "/load_ui" once its installed to get it to work
