Events calender

Is there one for hibernia? Or maybe just for the server.

Would love to have events such as:

newbie days (high levels helping out low lvl chars or at least special grouping days for level ranges)
tradeskill day (special days such as all armourcrafters turning up for a sell armour)
Guild recruitment day

erm..storytelling day (campfire stories?)
....some sort of performance?
...bards taking a few newbies around Hibernia for a tour of the place?

running out of ideas..but it'd be nice to have such things...gives the place a better sense of community

There have been a few fun events run in Hibernia - most memorable being the great lurikeen races organised by Guardians of Somnaire (all contestants level 1 lurikeen, course involves running through some of the most vicious aggro known in Hibernia). Alas Pent, who organised the luri races, has left us but someone could always take up his baton... any volunteers? GoS may well organise more fun events if any of us can actually get our fingers out and do so (my bard alt seems to want to hold a recital of his epic poetry in Tir na Nog at some point )

GPK events

Green peacekeepers will be holding a luri race for guild members only this week. If it goes well and works properly, we will quickly hold an Open race for all of hibernia.

This race is not just about speed, the participants must collect various items from around Hibernia.

The chars should be lvl 1 Luris named after the main char so LuriElui for example.

We have also held a Guild Luri Hide and Seek in Tir Na Nog, and if people were interested would hold another one. Also the Guild has taken new members on a tour of the frontiers in the past after one of our weekly meetings.

We are always looking for ideas to improve the social and fun aspect of the game/guild so let me know if you have any other suggestions (as we seem unable to pinch ideas from GoS now Pent has gone lol).

Here's an idea. It mainly to encourage unpopular classes. From what I can see the realm is always in need of rezzers such as wardens, bards and druids. Perhaps you could organise a survival race of some sort of mid level race for healers? I don't like the idea of low level healers such as level 5-10 since anyone could easily create those for the prizes, pass it to thier main chars and forget the healer class. Perhaps something from level 15+?

I'd gladly donate some items/gold for the event (although it probably wont be that impressive since I'm only a lvl 27 ranger )

Any other suggestions peeps?

So far this is the best incentive I can think of to try to encourage more uncommon or much needed classes to the game. Of course we'd need to give players ample time to level those classes and I for one would be more than happy to help those who needs to rise in level (once the event is confirmed -Don't particulalry want every low lvl person to /send me to p/l every 5 seconds )
