Things that amuse me...

Was playing a bit in Hib and after some nasty had justly eaten the dirt saw this message:

"The invisible hand disappears".

Got strange looks from the rest of the group while I fell about laughing at this and then I explained it and got merely sympathetic looks.

---

Something that makes me chuckle is also the way people come up to each other out of the blue and ask each other how they are specced. Can you imagine if people did this in RL?

In a bar...

"Hey babe, not specced good looks, gone for brains instead?"

Thwack.

Or two guys comparing notes.

"How's yours specced?"

"I've gone 43/36/5 Girth/Length/Endurance. How about you?"

"Gimped, 10/20/50. Will respec when I can afford private healthcare."

Obviously the average Scot has specced 50/20/0 in BeerAbsorb/KebabShopLocating/SocialGrace and is always annoyed that the English get 1.5 spec points per level. In turn the English are annoyed that the Germans get 2.0 spec points per level and moan they haven't had any lovin' since 1966. The French just want to stop people importing foreign spec points and the Irish are too drunk to care.

----

People that ask for buffs you've already given them. I tend to find it quicker just to recast the spell than explain. Generally, they say thankyou and I just shake my head.

----

People that moan about the xp they are making when you are pulling 3 mobs at a time and basically exploding them. Then you move on to harder mobs which give you higher xp per kill but more downtime and you're only killing one per pull. These peeps are then blissfully happy. Its worth sticking with these mobs just for a quiet life.

----

If you stop pulling for a few moments to tell everyone a joke, you'd better be bloody sure it has a funny punchline. Delaying xp for knock-knock jokes is not a good idea. Lightbulb jokes are also dodgy territory. Quoting Cannon And Ball should have you shot just on principle.

----

Guilds that scream for help when their keep is under attack but don't seem to be around when others are under attack.

----

Ganking known griefers. Immense satisfaction with just a touch of guilt from wondering if you're as bad as the griefers themselves. Ironically, the more people along for the ganking the greater the satisfaction. 3 peeps vs 1, is an ok gank. 4FG rumbling past and finding Griefer X is much more fun. I guess its a social thing. Share with your friends etc.

-----

Have a Happy Monday all ;)

Hehe, loved the speccpoints one :)

...however, is too true to be funny.

"FFS!!!111 Only 8mil for that!"

"Yes, but 8*4=32 and we only have 10 secs downtime between each pull", you silently think while trying to restrain yourself from hurling abuse to he of lesser brain.

*sigh*

There are those who know, those who learn and those who forever will be moprons.

I learn't fairly quickly when I first started playing DAoC on Alb/Exc that ten line jokes - no matter how funny - don't go down well in Guild chat ... the joke in question ;

Duck walks into a bar and says to the Barman "Got any Bread"

Barman says "No"

Duck says "Got any bread"

Barman says "No, I have no Bread"

Duck says "Got any bread"

Barman says "No, ask again and I'll nail your damn beak to the Bar"

Duck says "Got any Nails"

Barman says "No"

Duck says "Good, got any Bread"

... ok, not that funny but you get the point

You are so right, and what I love more is that you often have to move to the place with the "single mob at a time pull spot" So you not only nolong has you 10sec downtime, you have a 15min walk and a 1 min downtime.

I was hanging around Connla with my level 3 character together with some other lowbie peps when a level 18 druid comes by and offers to “power level” us. Wondering what that might lead to I stayed with the group on a long running trip to Lough Gur and got “power levelled” for as much as 1 xp pr. Kill. :p

hehehehe

me and some friends are devoloping a "How to pick up women, the camelot style" guide in irl, due to Orden's little brother constantly hitting on everyone in pbaoe range. but always fails cause he inst specced high enough

and taunt and CC is often needed in case of aggro boyfriends...

LOL Kharok - I was there remember... it was a shame you didn't get killed by a mob while typing that in! :puke: If I remember rightly you then attempted to explain it too as some people didn't get it... (not including me!)...

Oh, I don't mean it... your jokes are always funny... or they were back in 1967 anyway!

I like using sarcasm on people that don't get it... might be a language barrier, or a few brain cells short of the full compliment!
