Kings Cross was closed this morning while I was on the way in to work, they said it was because of overcrowding. But they always say that..

London Underground said a the failure of a signalling control computer at Baker Street as well as another signal failure at South Harrow has resulted in the severe delays on 11 Tube lines.

The worst affected was the Circle Line, which was suspended but is suffering delays

According to kenny, one of the stations was so crowded that people couldnt even get off the train as the doors closed before they could reach them

Jup, saw that happen to some poor lass today, struggling to fight through the mosh to get to the exit, only to hear "mind the doors please - *beep beep beep*"

That must have been quite annoying

funniest thing I seen happen on a tube was when the driver overshot the platform by a set of doors, he t hen apologised that he couldn't let anyone off and that they would have to wait until the next station.

That's only funny if you don't need to get off there for an important meeting or something...

Failed because of a dirty bomb!

But seriously, Im glad Im not living in/around London at the moment. Can't see Al'Qaeda attacking my hamlet village - unless they want to disrupt the livestock market.

This was pretty common when I was working in London. Kings Cross tube closes due to overcrowding nearly every other day during the week. They're rebuilding it to make it bigger afaik.

I've just come back from Soho/Leicester Square area and no trouble on the trains at all.

Commuters: Avoid rush-hour tube frustrations by leaving your office at 11pm and setting off at 2 in the morning.
