The dance contest.
Anyone bother watching it?
I've only caught a couple of glimpses of scoring and once again the only highlight is our people saying "What a suprise, so and so country has voted for the country next to it".

Why the fuck do we bother? Why do we enter into the song contest and now the dance contest when the skills in question are not even taken into any consideration? Pure politics - I thought the dancing might be different, but no.
Waste of time. Surely as a country we should be above entering into crap like that?

Didn't watch it but Mrs Wij did. I told her it would be like that. It's just a popularity contest for the countries involved and Britain is a relavtively wealthy island who's best friend is the richest country in the world. All the ingredients to bring out the most petty and spiteful aspects of human nature.

Honestly, on a global scale people act like 13 year old girls.

I'm personally waiting for "The Eurovision Sex Contest" - Will atleast make Saturday night TV more interesting... Also would give a reason for people to waste 25p/call.

a load of bollocks, if people didn't watch it then there wouldn't be any ratings for the tv peeps and no brits would enter it. we'd all be better off.

What? You mean Eurovisions already been on this year?

I didn't hear a sodding thing about it, not even in the papers!

Well, good thing and bad thing I guess.

Good thing I didn't see a single bit of it.

Bad thing is I guess we've still got the singing one to come, BAH.

Er, no.

This year's winner was Serbia.
