News item - Trading Standards Institute

This is the legislation that deals with age restrictions on dvds, games etc. Now the EU govt has said our own legislation is not enforceable, so people can now sell and rent out what ever they want.

I wonder how long before blockbusters is renting out animal pron.

Our govt has to wait three months before they can implement new legislation.
In the mean time, people can sell anything they want that was previously controlled under that Act. i.e. animal pron, films that could only be sold in a sex shop could now be sold in asda, things like 2 girls 1 cup on bluray in HMV etc. Oh and it wouldnt have to be classified with an age, so your 5 old kid could be sold "my little pony" which is actually about some old bloke that sucks pony cock.

I dont know if that means child porn, it probably is covered under something else.

I doubt the shelves would be flooded with child porn just because it was legal :p

I dont think child porn is legal. But were not just talking respectable retailers.
Now youve got dodgy mike down the car booty flogging vids of his misses getting shit on by the neighbours dog. Only now its legal for him to sell it to who ever he wants.

Title and post do not match, if the EU was banning everything in sight it would ban all video's. Not temporarily ban the UK ban on certain video's.

And yeah blockbuster and Asda would really start carrying animal porn and such for the 3 months until the VRA was reinstated.
