It says it's only 14 Mbps.

Also, I'd assume it's a bit like that X10 stuff, where you need some sort of blocking device at the mains box to prevent your transmissions going round the entire neighbourhood.

Well, does it matter if it goes round the neighbourhood. I suppose if you have haxors living next door you may worry, but other than that I can't see the problem.

I looked at these as a possible means of networking the shed (don't laugh!) which is 100 feet down the garden.

A colleague I spoke to who had tried them said that they work, but don't expect good bandwith if you have a lot of connectors on the line (eg: junction boxes, outlets, etc), and do expect everything that needs radio signals to get hosed (like the radio and TV!).
