Error 308 ?

Never ever seen this one before...

Got kicked to desktop few mins ago, tried to reconnect, got ERROR 308:could not complete product update, please wait a while and try connecting again. If you still cannot connect, check your internet settings.

WTF ? i was playing perfectly before this happened, now i cant even reach the login screen as it says i have 808Mb to download also but won't let me even do that ffs


Any one experienced this before or know wtf it is / how to solve it ?

If it's trying to download 800mb I think your daoc-folder has self-destructed Try reinstalling daoc, that should fix it.

yeah thats the answer, i got a Klone virus and Trojan virus, basically my computer went nuts and i ran numerous virus checkers, tons of files were removed and probably corrupted the daoc folder lol.

i re-installed windows, then the software...as you dont have a virus im sure you can just install the software

its only a very few percent of the worlds computers that are without virus, and you can get it from anywhere, not just from dirty porn sites or opening attached files in emails.

Found out what happened anyways, stupid isp are doing some [ ALOT ] of work on their lines and it looks like they blocked off the ports connecting to the update server, part of their * crackdown * on p2p and people flooding their lines with download managers... they are a bunch of fuckwits who were also giving me a 2k - 4k ping last night

It seriously is scarey how the recent witchhunt of software/music pirates is affecting the internet - soon we wont be able to do anything on it except browse government and mega-corporation websites.
