I know it's beyond the scope of this, but is there/wouldn't it be good to have an ignore thread option? A lot of the threads start out interesting, but descend into shite I'd rather not have to wade through.

Others start that way.

I have begun plonking in earnest in anticipation of that show your plonkee thread Will, recently there has been quite a few candidates for the almighty plonk.

Seriously though, occasionally threads degenerate into flaming or random posts, neither of which particularly bother me but the flames (lately) havE ALL been caused by DAoCers coming here with the sole intention of annoying us. Creating an invite only forum would possibly stop this, but then there is the problem with defining who is a regular and who isn't, and then who would be allowed access. Too much hassle, things are fine as they are.

Agreed though, this shouldn't be the 'General' forum, it should have a comical name like 'Off Topic For Every Topic Ever' and a subtitle of Post here at your own risk, or something. Then create another General Questions forum, for the newbies who have a question. Sorted.

See, the agro has been a two way street, and has settled down nicely. We even have a couple of people from the DAoC forums who have started to contribute to our fluffy little community.

I think the ignore thread is coming. The best thing is that no one can pull me up for it, because they are already on ignore.
