erm - NTL - WTH?

I'm downloading openoffice via bittorrent, and the speed is about 400Kb/s. Thats on a 2Mb connection.

Its not just BT either, I did a test on ADSLguide and it came to:

So I take it that NTL have been twiddling with things?

im suppose to be on 10mbit.

the most i can get from a speed test is 4 mbit :/

Im supposed to be on 8mb, best I can get on a speed thing is 3.5.

they upgraded mine to 10mb without telling me back in november/december, though they stuck a 75 gig cap on it (also without telling me) apparently the cap will be removed in the near future.

I get emails telling me they've upped the megs of my connection from time to time but the actual connection is getting progressively worse - at times its impossible to surf the web! I think they have just given up on contention ratios - about 1000 people are probably sharing my connection ;P

I'm now looking for a new broadband supplier - it comes to something when my old 600k blueyonder connection was miles better than my flashy X meg NTL connection!
