EoO - Bad Reputation?

Well I don't want to start a flame war but it seems that EoO are not listening so I'm going to try and spell it out - SOME OF YOUR MEMBERS HAVE SERIOUS ISSUES TALKING TO PEOPLE LIKE DECENT HUMAN BEINGS

My personal gripe on this issue began tonight during my very first visit to Malmo. Whilst I was trying to get my head around the group/list organisation of xping there I was stood with a lot of people who seemed to be waiting away from what I presumed to be the main 2 groups. I entertained them all for a while with jokes (yes very bad ones) as I think it's boring for lots of people to stand around waiting not talking. After a while I got bored and asked twice if everyone was in groups or just waiting - I got no response at all from anyone. After waiting for another 5 mintues I got bored and jumped onto the next Drak that everyone else jumped on thinking it was just a general free-for-all. Towards the end of the combat I noticed that an EoO member called Mammoth Tank had told me stop leaching - I stopped, I also apologised twice for the misunderstanding on my part and sat down away from combat and took no further part. Mammoth Tank then proceeded to berate me for the next 10-20 minutes on public chat for being an 'idiot' and 'stupid' and also tried to lodge a complaint with the Dentists GL for me leaching.

On the other hand I have talked to people like Gjarth and Bodand in EoO and they have been funny, polite and reasonable at all times with me.

Unfortunately it is people like Mammoth that spoil your entire guilds name and you really don't seem to realise that a lot of the people in Midgard automatically view all EoO members badly because of them. How can you witness (there were at least 5 other EoO members present at Malmo) guild members talking like this and not 1, Ask them to stop or 2, Say "your no good for our guild please leave"

I consider I have been fair with my critiscism on this matter but I also fear that it will be subject to the usual answers from EoO members.

not flaming you but if you have a problem with one of our guildmembers talk to one of the officers instead of posting it on the forum.as you said,it are only a few ppl who make our reputation bad and you aint helping alot.

And i respect Mammoth as the powerleveler he is


Havnt really asked Mammoth what happen. But i can imagine...

Malmo being a hell hole these days and all..... And leecher dont do it to a friendlier place.

Have too agree with Kalgarn on this matter. Why post on BW instead of contacting any officers ingame on this minor inccident....?

True Kalgarn! Its always best to take it up with an officer or Guildmaster of the guild where the person is from. Ofcourse this is quite hard as how the hele sould you know who is the guild leader. I tried it once in Gna faste where some big troll was leeching of every bodies mobs, I got a tad pissed off after the secound kill steal. So I msg'ed the highest level player from the guild and asked who the gm or leading officer online was, and I to my surprise I was looking at their gm's alt in gna. Yes the gm's alt was the one stealing kills. Just an Ideer of how hard it can sometimes be to get to comunicate with teh right guy on a matter like that.

Easyest way is to simply ask a random member (the higher the better sometimes) and ask to speak with the gm/officer, and they'll send you on to the right guy.

p.s. I dont remember the name of teh guy leeching, i'm not printing it even tho I have a picture of it. And im not posting the name of the guild either.

Yes every guild has their muppets, im the muppet in my guild (at least thats what they keep telling me) and i know your guild does also, but i won't name names i'll just /ignore.

well the original thread was posted due to a dispute between
Fatmomma from the Dentists and Mammoth from EoO.

I was part of the Mammoth´s group with my Skald alt: Eni. We were at Lair rather successfully chaining away the Drakulvs when Fatmomma appeared and started saying/shouting more or less coherent and obscene jokes. Well, as it was stated in this thread, ppl who get offended by this should not be getting to malm. Everybody knows that malm is the place where all the more and less coherent (more the less than the more) coherent Midgardians venture about in times of boredom.

After the ongoing chitchat from Fatmomma most of the ppl in the groups just stopped paying attention and Fatmomma suddenly popped in joining in the fight. The reaction from Mammoth came prompt (after all its malm we are talking about).

What a lvl41 skald (Fatmomma) then said as justification was:
- did not see u were grouped
- asked twice if i u were grouped and got no answer
- never been here don´t know how it works
- ...

Maybe Mammoth overreacted a little bit (well as i mentioned malm is malm) while listening to this more or less lame justifications but in no way it justificates a flame thread.


Liking EoO or not a guild is always made up of many ppl and as one of the Leaders of the Amazons I can only fully agree to the procedure that if u have a complaint u raise it ingame to a guild officer and not here...

Last but not least, Mammoth is and behaved like a senior player and there is nothing to add to it here...

As Very (yes I know most of his comments don't count) said just because someone has played a game longer does not mean that abusing other players is to be accepted. I don't consider it a minor incident given that lots of EoO players stood by and said nothing despite one of your guild clearly being out of order. Although you still expect me to believe that if I contact an officer it's not going to be a backslapping he gets given that without even speaking to him you've already taken his side (I don't expect you to take my side but impartiality until you know what happened would be nice).
The 'leach' was an accident on my part that I immediately apologised for, as I said it was my first time in Malmo and I had asked if people were in groups but got no response.
I have a number of witnesses to this conversation and if you send me ingame then I will be happy to give you their names (both respected members of other guilds) and you can ask them yourself.

But really save yourself the effort of even appearing to seem interested because it's obvious by your earlier response that at the end of the day I'm not uber enough to be worth consideration.

Straw Dogs argument is demarcated with discrepancies.

He says in one post that Mamms response was 'typical of an EoO member' or something to that effect, and then goes on to say he's part of the reason EoO has a bad rep.

Seems to me like someone has a major inferiority complex. I'm an EoO member, do you know me at all? Without having said a word to you would you expect me to flame you for no apparent reason? I doubt it. Do we threaten you?

C'mon now, I like to think I'm well liked, the reason I asked to join EoO in the first place is because although I have met a few twats here, the majority of the players are dedicated, hardworking and intelligent players who are all driven by a single goal - to protect our realm.

In Malmo everyone snaps at some point. Mammoth has been there non stop for the past few days/weeks and I'm sure it's taking it's toll on him.

Lighten up, it's just a game. Trying to name and shame someone on BW when so many other more apparent courses of action were open to you was rather said. Not to mention seethrough.

Mammoth a.k.a. Sinister ins't exactly a friendly person. Refuses to rezz people with his buffbot while PLing him when we didn't want him (the bot) in our group (we needed a mezzer).

Very arrogant, acts like he's teh roxor warrior of all time even though he's just another warrior, plays quite well though. Also claims to hit twice as hard as a higher level SB. Well I wouldn't know about that as I've never played an SB or warrior...

Nice guy as long as he shut ups and you don't play attention to his bragging and he keeps peeling those nasty drakulvs off your wet paper armour.

In what way see through? Did I not name two other EoO members who I gave high praise too? Now to me that counts as 1 bad comment and 2 good. I did not say that Mammoth had made a typical EoO reply I said that I expected one to this post and I got it almost stright away.
I was trying to offer constructive critiscism as to why quite a lot of people in Midgard consider EoO to not be a very nice guild, whilst also venting my anger over comments made by one of your members to me. In return I got replies that didn't really improve my opinion of some of your guild members.
