Right so I got my new GFX card, and all is dandy
but I seem to be having driver issues with it, " I think"

problem is that when the driver is newly installed and I run the game, everything is fine,
but as soon as I turn off the computer and turn it on again, "f.exp the next day" it's
very laggy, and Tabing in and out of the game is a nightmare, at times it takes 30 sec +
to tab back into the game.

I had orligionaly bought the normal ENGTX560 Ti DCII and thought it was the card that was defect,
so I switched it to the TOP version, and on the first run all was dandy, but today "the day after"
I'm seeing the same problem! I've tried a couple other games, and I get the same problem with
HL2 and LA Noir, but no problems in Drg.age2

- I've tried an older driver - same problem,
- 2 different cards same problem,
- installed the old Radeon card - no problem
- All old drivers have been removed - unistalled - Drive cleaner - CCleaner - Cleaned C
- The card requires 550W minimum psu, mine is only 500W but I dout thats it, since then why would the game work each time I reinstalled the newest driver ?
- The MB is VIA wich is also why I origionally used the Radeon cards, but this 560ti has gotten such
nice reviews that I wanted to give it a go....

I'm at a loss, Google hasnt been much help, but I'm confidant it must have something to do
with the driver.....'

I'm all ears!
any help would be greatly appreciated

Yeah I'm guessing you have a PSU problem.

That card can draw 400w under load, + CPU + other bits you could easily be going > 500.

Well the first thing is not only are you under the PSU requirement, which isn't always a problem, but I suspect your PSU isn't a very good one either.

What version of windows have you got?

OI!
Nothing wrong with the PSU I'm Using :p SilverStone ST50F-ES 500W
I use Win7 64, and as I said, then way would the game, and card magicly work everytime I reinstall the driver ?
if it was a PSU problem surely that wouldnt matter, no I highly dout it's the psu, and tbh, there isn't much els eating at the
power..

I am going to get a new PSU in any case, but I cant see that beeing the issue here.
I've removed every bit and bob of the old ATi driver, so I'm left scratching my head tbh

You would be surprised about how they work and won't work, in essence what you are stating could rule out everything else but the same reason can exist for all that the system and driver adjust after a restart for example the power options. You could try turning off the aero desktop theme.

Whether it's the PSU or not, it is a major concern.

Your card draws > 400W, your CPU ( post the model, and the stats will be available ) probably 100-200W, your PSU is rated to 500W.
Then add HDDs, and anything else you have plugged in and you're definitely drawing >500W .

That's it. Your PSU is underpowered on the 12V rail.

http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1540/1/
"The ASUS GeForce GTX 560 1GB video card requires a 550 Watt or greater power supply with a minimum of 38 Amps on the +12 volt rail. It also requires that the power supply has two 6-pin PCI Express power connectors for proper connection."

Your PSU on this datasheet http://www.silverstonetek.com/downloads/PSU/GPU-supportlist.pdf
Single 12V rail supplying 34A.

34A < 38A

Get a higher power rated PSU with more than 38A-40A on the 12v rail.

thanks :D

But the "old" ENGTX560 Ti DCII card only required a 500w with a 30A, and that card had the exact same problem,
thus also why I dout it's the PSU thats causing this particular problem.

1 HDD
16 gb ddr3 ram

I'm starting to regret not taking the Radeon :/
also my mb is the ASUS P7P55D - wich ofc supports Crossfire and not Sli
but tbh, I havent had the need, and didnt figure it would matter as i didnt
plan to use it.

ofc I could upgrade the MB, to a newer sli based, since I'm going for a new PSU anyway
but tbh, I too much of a wuss to try moving the CPU to the new MB

hmmm....so seems I missed one driver reg file, that pro cleaner was only able to pick up in safe mode after I'd deleted another file in command promt, which I'd firstly disabled under admin tools
gaaaaah! anyway seems to be working dandy atm, fingers crossed!

oh and thanks for the helping thoughts,
