Im thinkin cause they had the hardware upgrade (tho i believe a couple of the german did aswell 
). Oh and gifv hardware upgrade on UK servers! narw!
And a 3rd server while ur at it just checked daoc-home...the 4th french server doesnt break 1k ppl even at peak...im sure we could muster the same....so gifv!

was in Camlann yesterday, and their were Germans everywhere, especially in the starter guilds - when me and another guy pointed out that it was an English server, and politely reminded them that talking in another language was against the CoC, i was told it wasn't an English server and you just have to go to a particular mob and specify (This sounds like so much bullshit, but...)
So, i asked out of respect for us state-school-under-educated English types, and i got the response that will embody my time their:
