McLaren has done nothing to show he is an international manager. Poor selection of formation today, and wrong players in wrong places.

We have the midfielders to cover Beckhams position (though not Gary Neville who seemed to be wide right today ).


I still think we can win Euro 2008. I just wish the FA had shown more bottle when selecting the manager (one of the Italians who wanted the job, Oneill (Who is a top top manager) even Allardyce would have brought something different to the job.

McLaren is just a continuation of the Erikson reign with minor changes.

I didnt see the game so I cant comment. However against Andorra wtf was he playing at. Whats the point of playing against a 3-4-3 formation and playing down the middle???? I think we used the wings about 5 times the whole game and this is where england looked the most dangerous.

Im a big believer that if your players form is crap, you drop them. Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard and Carrick are all underperfoming for their clubs.

sven was a wanker... he didn't care if they lost or won, he just wanted to have afairs
beckham is also a ****... he cost us 2 championships, iirc, he's only real skill is taking corners/free kicks and he does it poorly, as the majority of the time he tottally miss's... it was like constantly having 10 men on the field

The muppets who were screaming for an English manager have got what they wanted. Tactically clueless and we were made to look like a 2nd rate footballing nation. Playing Gerrard on the right wing on Saturday (because he hasn't the balls to drop Lampard and play Gerrard where he should be), Carrick as the ball winning midfielder, Downing being in the squad let alone on the pitch and persisting with Rooney at a time when the kid is clearly struggling. And on a controversial note - I still think Rooney is the most overhyped player in an Egnland shirt tbh - for a near enough 30mil player he doesnt do nearly enough - he doesnt score enough, doesnt set up enough, just does enough to make a decent highlight reel every couple of months ... in the same bracket compare him to Henry or Ronaldinho even - I would take either of them over Rooner (talking club level ofc unless someone can prove Ronaldinho's gran was Welsh which would be nice )
