It's not much to be proud of is it though? A draw and losing out on first place in the group to England

Don´t really care if we meet Ger or Equ. Sweden have tough time meeting teams like Equador so I think Germany is the better option even though its gonna be hard as hell beating them.

Facts still remains though. England can´t win versus Sweden

It was a good game. Far too nerve racking from an English point of view though. But I didn't expect us to win, we never beat Sweden, it's just one of the laws of the game...

Owen going off was a major bad news. We are now down to 1 fit striker (Crouch), 1 coming back from injury (Rooney) and one who if the game kicks off at 8pm it will finish past his bedtime (Walcott). Good job the midfield have a lot of goals in them.

Yeah but least we didn't loose... England played on top and deserved to win. Even though our defence was SHIT(!!!) If sweden hadn't had that lucky break (fu cambell) then we would have won that. No question of a doubt.

Was okish game ...

Big point for me was there was no width to the play. Beckham won't take players on and Cole drifts in to this favoured right foot. Need someone to make a break down the lines more often to bring defenders out.

Cole on the right and Lennon on the left would be my choice but Sven's not gonna drop Beckham (unless he gets injured). Dunno why he did not give Walcott a run tbh aswell not 100% Rooney and Crouch did not realy have the pace for any through balls. Lennon and Walcotts pace would have added a different dimention to England.

Hargreaves had a good game though his passed the ball around well and broke up play like a trouper like David Batty but able to pass forward !

The swedish player Marcus Albäck was playing terriffic, but doubt anyone of you english know who that is
It doesnt matter if Sweden beat germany vause we will get kicked out by argentina the game after
Sweden owned the second half and Englands second goal was such a huge misstake by Sweden

Id be surprised if owen had done his cruciate in. Ive seen harder and tougher men then owen do it in a rugby match and they couldnt move, let alone crawl off the pitch. The pain is supposedly ten times worse than a break. Of course I could be doing Owen a huge injustice and he maybe a lot tougher than im giving him credit for

where have I implied in this thread Sven got the tactics wrong? He never, he played the game that most people think England should play. Im flattered by your obsession but Im not that way inclined.
