Like I said, you don't half talk a lot of shit. Italy's squad consists of:-

Buffon - best keeper in the world, period.
Nesta and Cannavaro - two of the best centre backs in the world
Zambrotta - best left back in the world at this point in time, superior to Ashley Cole in most people's opinions.
In the midefield they have Pirlo and Gattuso, again tho of the best midfielders in the world. England could use those pair in their current midfield, they'd gain a bit of grit and creativity. Camoranesi is patchy but still scores goals.
And up front Italy's personnel are second only to Brazil. Totti, Gilardino, Del Piero and Luca Toni are all shit-hot forwards and whilst Vieri is no longer the same force he used to be, he can still knock the odd goal in.

Basically they have more world-class players in each position than England do. So you are talking shite. End of.

I agree with buffon and zambrotta but the rest I dont. I feel on paper england are stronger than italy especially in midfield. But hey, everyone is different

Midfielders: Michael Ballack (Germany/ Bayern Muchen), David Beckham (England/ Real Madrid), Joe Cole (England/ Chelsea), Anderson Deco (Portugal/ Barcelona), Luis Figo (Portugal/ Real Madrid), Gennaro Gattuso (Italy/ AC Milan), Steven Gerrard (England/ Liverpool), Ricardo Kaka (Brazil/ AC Milan), Frank Lampard (England/ Chelsea), Claude Makalele (France/ Chelsea), Pavel Nedved (Czech Republic/ Juventus), Andrea Pirlo (Italy/ AC Milan), Arjen Robben (Holland/ Chelsea), Ronaldinho (Brazil/ Barcelona), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/ Manchester United), Paul Scholes (England/ Manchester United), Mark van Bommel (Holland/ Barcelona), Patrick Vieira (France/ Arsenal), Xavi Hernandez (Spain/ Barcelona) and Zinedine Zidane (France/ Real Madrid)

K mate. Did you actually see the england team sheet last night? Gerrard an ordinary player? John Terry ordinary?

Did you see the England team sheet last night?

Because I could have sworn Jamie Crragher isnt John Terry. John Terry is recovering from injury.

England were out of form, Lampard and Gerrard were average at best, it was a shambles.

And you are very wrong about Italy. Even though I dont like them, they have a very strong team.

And remember what is on paper does not translate to victories.

I agree with Marc, England do have one of the best squads in the world on paper it just seems that their desire/passion to win is misplaced when it comes to playing for their country.

I like some actually watched the Republic game because I knew it would be a fast paced game, Ireland more than held there own only to be beaten by a world class goal. With England I always feel that I am watching the same old boring shit, always questioning formations, tactics and the will to win.

Its not about having great players though its about being able to coach them in a way of playing depending on your opposition (Greece & South Korea). I dont believe Sven is tactically minded at all, he won his trophies in Italy with a club that didnt have a limit on the cash he spent.

Saying all of that I would take Gerrard, Lampard and Beckham over any of the Italian midfielders, just look at the medals they have between them. Medals most of the italians/brazilians wont ever have or have a chance of getting.

Someone who gets bored very easily. Speaking of three year olds, do you enjoy repeating the same jokes over and over?

Best Result Ever

I laughed when they scored. I thought they deserved another goal too.

England were shit. Beckham rules that team, not Sven or McLaren. It's a fucking joke and we deserved all we got.

I long for the manager that says "play on the right and put the crosses in you spoilt runt".

Jeeeeeeeesus.
