Love him or hate him, there is no doubting Beckham is a big game player. He is in the same mould as Gerrard. He is one of them players that grab the game by the scruff of the neck. This is why I would have him over Lennon anyday. I thought Carrick was awesome, a much better passer of the ball than Lampard which is probably why Sven sat him in front of the back 4. Rooney ran his socks off in that game and its only a matter of time before he latches on to these through balls and notches.

Thought parts of the Ecuador game were good, most of it was pretty unattractive football.

Erm Hargreaves has done very well in the last 2 games. We are looking bad because our big game players are not really playing aswell for aslong as they usually do. Sometimes you just gotta get through the game, we will come good lets hope its in the Final!!!!!!

in quater finals w/o actually playing football and only a few players performing, just think if we actually turn up and perform, not any player in team i look at and think hmmmm he aint up 2 world cup standard. Beckham does it again, just as me and m8s where all agreeing he should be subed and was wasting the free kicks (tbh he was playing badly) he goes and knocks it in lol. thx fck for ashley coles block. but those tense few mins or robinson laying on floor all me and m8s could say was NO NOT JAMES. and i sware hardgreeves could score the winner and peps would still say he played shit. gotta play against Portugal or they will punish us, thou 1-0 all the way to cup, woudent mind in long run but by god it would be painfall watching it, but when has England ever done it the easy way.

Agreed Calaen, he has played very well and has proved me wrong. I think he played a vital role in that formation and I think it worked really well. Rooney played well, Lampard was abit down I think it was the new formation that got him... Gerrard- omg .. he played shit.

Carrack played well also, but I htink its either Carragher of Rooney for MoM.
