Tbh, we're basically fucked by injuries. As frustrating as it is, we've no chance to do well without everyone available. I personally like Murphy over Butt, but again, he's fucked.

Maybe in 4 years we'll actually stand a chance, because there are no outstanding teams at the moment, it's wide open. France are below par, brazil are cack, argentina are nothing special, Italy aren't as strong as they were.

The back for is a good hope for the future though. Rio and Sol are quality. Danny Mills played very, very well - think about his overlapping runs with Beckham in the first half, and Ashly Cole looks pretty good too.

I really think the midfield isn't that bad. I don't like Nicky Butt, and certainly with Murphy and Gerrard it would be much improved, but the problem was we kept missing them out. Why? They are all good players in the middle yet we skipped them out.

Up front we really should be OK. Vassel is going to be quality for the next couple of years until he slows down. Owen is off the boil sadly, but Fowler is hardly a bad substitute. Teddy Sheringham has a knack of coming on and doing well too.

And once again, David Seaman has denied the rickets and had a good game.

Looking forward to the Argentina game whatever happens.

I'd have to agree since his mistake, although costly in the end, he did make a recovery from. If the rest of the defence can't cover for somebody making, then reasonably dealing with, a mistake then the blame lies on all of their heads.

My personal view is that Seaman should have been back on his line. He had time to reposition but instead decided to hover on the 6 yard line. That was his lowest point of the game.

I feel sorry for Heskey - he's NOT a winger - and when he was finally shunted up front he did OK.

Personally - Owen did have a shit game - I'd have taken him off, put Fowler on with heskey or vassell (or maybe sheri instead of fowler).

Mills did OK as far as I was concerned - which is surprising to me. MUCH better than Wes Fucking Brown would ever have done - and it was a team defensive error that let the goal in.

Butt sucks cock - but I even missed him.

Point 1 - Yes Heskey is wasted out there... But given that you moved him in he'd prolly spend most of his time on the deck diving, you never know whether its worth it to play him through the middle. However, I will say this for the bloke - he did make something happen when he was moved up front and stayed upright - I was amazed!

Point 2 - Owen didn't have that bad a game... why is everyone blaming him? I'm no fan of the guy because like you he's a scouser... but the guy didn't get any service.. and the one shot he did have nearly put us 2-1 up...

Point 3 - Just because Wes Brown has two dodgy warm up games, every thinks he's shit... tbh - grow up... if he was shit - why is he there?

Point 4 - I've been big about Liverpool players... so you do the same... I don't think Nicky Butt sucks cock as he is not gay to my recollection... you obviously don't like the guy but he is one of the most underrated players in the Prem imo. He deserves better and England need him... possibly in a no-injuries suffered game you would have Butt and Scholes playing the middle and Steve Gerrard on the left as he plays for you lot... or does he play on the right...

Point 5 - Agreed - sadly again I have to hold my hands up and say we missed his tackling and force.
