I think we'll lose to Nigeria, and I said before the finals that we wouldn't beat sweden. We'll play well against Argentina though, maybe even beat them. Why? Because time and time again we put in gutsy performances against world class sides, and NEVER play well against poor sides. And sweden ARE a very poor side.
One of the most important things for a team is consistency, we have none. After all, what's the point in coming to life when it's tough, and allowing teams to win that play poorly.
Utter wank. England are shit, and always will be shit.
Also, does anyone else agree that Owen is quite a shit footballer? Sure he's fast and can get those poacher goals, and he'd be in my england first 11.....but he has no ball control and no passing ability, and he's not that strong either.

I can't understand WHY he sticks with Hesky. It makes no sense to me.
Owen had a poor game too.
And WHY play long balls, bypassing an pretty reasonable midfield, when you are up against such big defenders?
Sadly for Mr Eriksson, there were some serious tactical errors.
On the plus side, Darius Vassel was outstanding. Hargreaves had his moments and, apart from the goal, Danny Mills was solid and creative. Additional Kudos to Ashley Cole.
And I think Exor is right, we are going to play well against Argentina. And Nigera will be a bloody tough match if we're to qualify.
At least, if we do get through, we're less likely to face the French.

Utter rubbish, mills got it 35 yards clear. That shot was weak and in the centre of the goal, the player should have been closed down, or seaman should have saved it.

I feel sorry for Heskey - he's NOT a winger - and when he was finally shunted up front he did OK.
Personally - Owen did have a shit game - I'd have taken him off, put Fowler on with heskey or vassell (or maybe sheri instead of fowler).
Mills did OK as far as I was concerned - which is surprising to me. MUCH better than Wes Fucking Brown would ever have done - and it was a team defensive error that let the goal in.
Butt sucks cock - but I even missed him.
This is my team:
1) Owen/Vasell and 2) Heskey/Sheri/Fowler up front.
Beckham, Butt (urgh!), Scholes and Hargreves in the middle
Back 4 as today.
We do miss Stevie Gerrard tho
