Brazil have yet to impress much in this world cup, after the China game they came in for a roasting from their own press.

TBH it is now clear that there are 2 England teams, the one that played against Argentina and Germany (5-1, lest we forget) and the one that played Greece and Sweden.

If we can play the first of those teams against Denmark and Brazil I honestly believe we can win through. If it the other team then we may as well have got on the same plane as France.

I was really disappointed with the performance until yesterday evening. Then I saw a few post-match interviews with the team. Every single player basically said that the conditions were a nightmare to play in, and that they were absolutely knackered at the end. Ferdinand said it was the worst conditions for a match he'd ever played in. Note that they weren't even directly asked about the weather, just about the match in general, and that was the first thing they responded about. Sven even basically said he didn't care about getting Denmark or Senegal next round, it was more important that they played in the evening, in the north, as it would be a hell of a lot cooler. Given that they all responded so strongly, it made me think maybe it was a lot tougher out there than any of us can really identify with, and the next game (in much cooler conditions) should be a better reflection of how we're playing.

Oh, and ignore bodhi, he's just a typical bitter scot.
