Afaik insurance cost is 30% or so of base cost where the payout is base cost. Or something.

we are trying to put together our own corp based insurance scheme but we need to know what the game covers first so we can facotr in the figures....

I did insure a geddon recently on platinum, had a browse through my api stuff and...

My igoogle API thingy tells me I paid 33.75mil for this privilege. I paid 90.75mil for the ship and the payout will be 120mil if I go pop. So essentially minus the fittings that will cost me 4.5mil.

Wow, never looked at it so closely before!

(Shame I spent a shed load on the fittings as I was in a hurry )
